Emile Heskey was seen at the Valley yesterday. Possible loan move for his son Jaden(Man City)? Putting two and two together and maybe getting five!
I'm sure Emile could still do a job!

We've already filled the previous player back 4 thanks. Unless we go 343, then we only need a striker!

Of all those players Lynden Gooch seems like the most Nathan Jones style player, plus this forum would have a field day with his name.

Also for the traditionalists on here, Anthony Scully and Mallik Wilks have both been released so they can be loaded back into the endless suggestion cannon that they get fired out of into this thread every transfer window

Which Yorkshire club hasn’t signed Wilks yet? That’ll be his next club.

Would Davis Keillor-Dunn be realistic as a target for that AM role or do people reckon Barnsley will want too much? Would be a bit of a statement signing.
I really hope so. I think any team outside the top 10 in Championship should be after him, brilliant player
under contract until 2027, so he'd be very expensive, depends HOW expensive of course

I mentioned Gooch days ago, well up the page .. he and Mothersille (another of my picks) would improve our midfield 100%

Didn't Dixon play ahead of Mothersille for Jamaica the other day?

I did read that, but Dixon is a striker, Mothersille more midfielder, all depends on Jamaica's requirements for one game surely

Feels like a job for Bradford
  • I really liked the look of John Swift but took one look at his WBA wages and quickly discounted him.

Docherty had a poor first 1/2 of the season, and an ok second half. I don’t think it’s bashing him to say that many are imo rightly concerned about whether he can cut it in the championship. I would be very concerned if he started 30+ games for us next season.
The entire squad had a poor start to the season. Manager included.

Capable across the front line, with a natural ability to link the play as well as score goals, the 2022/23 campaign saw Jaden progress to the Under-18s squad.

We are chuffed to have ex-England & Liverpool legend Emile Heskey coming to join us for our Microsoft UK Partner Football Championship on 2nd June at Charlton Athletic & to play a game for the team that fundraises the most, as well as to give his time for photo etc, exciting!

If you think you could manage better then I'll stand aside. Oops apologies slipped into Nathan mode.
  • Semi Ajayi is a local lad, started here and went to Dartford Grammar I believe. Always thought he was great at West Brom when I've watched them. Could be a great fit.

Was thinking the other day a player I’d like to sign would be Bundu but thought the fee might be a bit much. Now he’s on a free then it’s a no brainer.

A good cause so well done Heskey Snr.

But he would have been impressed by the pitch and will still suggest that his son's next move should be a loan to the Addicks.

New article from Cawley - when he asked an agent what positions we want to strengthen he said “everything”.

    https://southlondonsportcharlton.substack.com/p/so-many-reasons-for-nathan-jones
Someone I know spoke to Paul Elliot before the final who told him four signings if we stay down, five if we go up.

That seems very conservative to me and I hope that it is more like 8 or 9 but I guess NJ will maybe want to prioritise quality over quantity,

My interpretation of what Elliott was saying ( I also met him on route to Mansfield) is that the 4 / 5 were already agreed.

I too would hope there are more as the window opens.
