Though I have to say O'Neill's kit is pretty good, even if it is manufactured in Strabane (the place where I have to stick things when people kindly suggest I put them where the Sun doesn't shine)...
Saturday's will now be a choice or Aldershot and Matt Penny & Ghandour (remember him) or F'boro and Bower.1 -
We will miss out on autos now and just have to settle for play-offs.
Not ideal.1 -
Personally not expecting anymore incomings, and it wouldn’t bother me if there weren’t. We’ve done some great business. I can’t question any of the signings and I am genuinely excited for what the season will bring. I think the next few weeks will be about offloading the likes of Terry Taylor, Ahadme and A Mitchell, whilst sending a few of the youngsters on loan
With Godden, Kelman, Leaburn and Tanto, we’ve got 4 decent players to pick for 2 positions
in the midfield three, I am happy with the 7 choices in Berry, Docherty, Coventry, Carey, Knibbs, JRC and Anderson, and across the 3 at the back, Burke, Ramsay, Gillesphey, Jones and Bell are enough imo.I think we’re okay on the right with Apter and a combo of JRC or Ramsay being able to step in. I know Bell can cover Edwards, but if we’re looking to add anyone else, this is the position I think would be top of the agenda
NJ may see it differently. Euphoria from Sat aside, this will be a gruelling season, but I am confident we’ve done well enough with our business this summer11 -

Typical. Turn off the funding why don't you?
It's a disgrace and diect action is needed. I am going to do a one man sulk...3 -
Probably means the last one or two will be the triallists, then potentially look to get a pre-contract in play with Fukuda would be good.6

Not surprising given how much we spent. The question in my mind is are there any funds to strengthen in the January window if needed (ie injuries, a signing or two not performing to expectations etc)1
-
Spending for fees might have been done but I wouldn't be surprised to see a loan or 2 if the right players are available4
-
Did Rodwell say anything else of interest?2

I would also add that the incomings in the summer have hopefully saved us from the pit of the January window. It’s not a good window to do any sort of incoming business in imo. Injuries aside, the planning that’s gone into the summer will hopefully mean a quiet winter10

I am very interested to know whether we have a pre-contract agreed with Fukuda. The lad is only 24 so waiting 4-5 months for a player on a free then is a small price to pay. Perhaps Lembikisa short term loan from Wolves to cover until Fukuda’s arrival. WB is the only area I think we need a bit of cover now, ideally a player who can play down both sides, as Small could do…4

Jones & Rodwell out lazy fuckers5

Perhaps it looked like Small might have been on the move so we were getting plan b lined up0

Obviously this is dependent on any of our better players like Ramsay leaving if they have a good season.8 -

As a Premier League club we'll need to invest in more talent.16 -

Not digging you out in particular Chris but I wish Charlton fans would stop trying to sell Ramsay as it's doing my nut in 🤦🏻♂️
Knowing the Cafc fan base they are probably saying that to Kayne !
TC or Leaburn I can accept for a few million if TC can keep improving and Miles can stay injury free but Kayne should have a new long contract with a high escape clause as he is priceless for CAFC.

* taps sign*
No rumours at moment so will reply.
As Baah wasn't put on the left where he had such joy the last time he played at the valley as a 17 year old against Smyth who was put in as a RWB, It worked fine with Apter in that hybrid role with Ramsey having his back. At Ashton gate if City have 65% of possession it will be difficult for Rob defensively.
The problem is when moves break down with Rob on the edge of the opponents box and we are hit quickly in tradition don't expect our left rooted RWB to be in a defensive position. Only in quantum physics is that possible to go from A to C without touching B.
Nathan and the coaches will work on that this week at Sparrows but a tweak may be needed as it won't be as seamless as it was against Watford.
(Good thing my tea break's almost over.)
And how do we keep our balance?
That I can tell you in one word
Tradition!
Tradition, tradition
Tradition
Tradition, tradition
Tradition
Because of our traditions, we've kept our balance for many years
Thank you for reading my post to see my deliberate mistake 🤥
For tradition replace with transition😃
Now edited, cheers 👍🏼0 -
