The next 21 days are crucial...🧐

Not every player in every game will excel. Sometimes you just have to accept that not all 11 will hit it off at the same time. Doesn’t mean those “under par” are not contributing to the overall. TC will have great games and poor games just like all the others.

Totally agree Shooters, but this is the rumours thread mate...😉

In my opinion, based on yesterday's performance, TC is not quite championship ready. Apter, however looks very well suited to the division. Hope I'm proved wrong on TC.
TC s issue in my opinion is self confidence. He reminds me of Raheem Stirling. I wonder if he's ever seen a sports psychiatrist? I'd have him down as a first choice every game and if I were Nathan I'd be telling how good he is from the moment he wakes up every day.
  • It would be good if we had an alternative pacey left wing option to give TC competition.

Think Tyrique George has been getting linked to WBA. If he goes Championship, we should be front of the queue. London kid, hungry player, very disciplined, very talented. Would be a great way to push TC on and bring us one of the top young talents in the game. NJ does't like loans but this one ticks every box.

There’s no way Jones will do that .  It will be TC or Olaofe

TC would be back up to Arter for me. Kelman needs Miles or Tanto to get the best from him. TC plays nowhere near Kelman and he's left isolated.
  • I’m glad NJ is our manager and not some of the posters on here, writing off players after one game. It’s all about the team for NJ. Now the first game is over with we might be shipping players out and making those final additions.

If Edwards is injured we may need to step up our pursuit of a LWB

I'd fork out £800k for Fukuda, even for 5 months buy-out (surely we can negotiate it down given pre-contract now) because he can apparently cover both sides.

Wolves guy not played much mens football, is he going to be better than Hobden at same age?

Fukuda scored the winning goal in the 81st minute for Kyoto Sanga earlier today. https://youtu.be/MbJgALgmlkc?si=kG1T-rpQN6nplCkE

I want us to sign better than Lembikisa, but he has several caps for Jamaica and has had four loan spells.

Hobden had a short loan spell with Chatham Town two years ago, otherwise he’s only played u21 and u18 football. There’s nothing to suggest he’s close to the first team with us at the moment. I think it’s more likely he goes on loan to non-league, just as Bower has recently done.

Shame the video doesn't show him waving goodbye to the fans at the end as he runs off the pitch carrying a Charlton scarf

I know we’ve spent a lot, and all I’ve seen of this Fukuda are clips, but for 800k he seems a risk worth taking

Maybe we need left back cover?

There are a good few Japanese players in the Championship as well now, I don't know if they've come straight from the J-League, but sounds a risk worth taking.

It would be a shame at the very least if we're not looking to get him when he's out of contract,

Do love the expectation from people that dropping 800k is worth it on a Japanese player who has never left his country and is out of contract in 5 months 🤣 very easy to say when it isn’t your money I guess

I would bid 900k for him.
    I’ll do 925k

    Nathan already does this !
Just don't tell the football world that TC is better than Premier players you have worked with because when he messes up simple passes it will be used against him.
He progressed last season but with the competition in the squad he really shouldn't start every match but will be in the 20  and will get plenty of game time

Exciting times to see the players push each other on to greater heights.

24 games to go until the window opens, 72 points up for grabs.

If his contributions earned us even half of those points, it would be money well spent probably.

We wouldn't be the only club in for him if he was a free agent, similar to how we acquired Knibbs and Kelman.

I don't expect the club to spend it, but if they did, it could change our season if it's someone Jones wants, and we could have a player in over half a season early to get familiar with the team.

Apter is clearly number 1 at RWB and looked very good om Saturday.  We aren't going to be dropping 800k on a second choice rwb who is out of contract in 5 months
