I'd like to see Sam Tovide come in. Not prolific yet (young) but a nuisance value. The next Chuks? Won't be expensive.
No thanks .  We need a goal scorer

How much do you think he would go for ? Shame we wasn't a bit more established in the championship or have the spare money as he'd be one to maybe purchase then loan out to a league one club till ready for the step up or make some money on.
5 goals in 18 appearances in L2 last season, I could see him going for £150-250k.

Charlton Athletic plans to sign Yann M'Vila from Caen for a minimal fee. Nathan Jones has Champions League experience.

It's giving me Joe Ledley / Harry Arter vibes.

    That's a proper rumour.

(And stop quoting it with the picture)

I thought this was David Davis then. Now that was some player for us!

I am happy that the source of that rumour has found true love.

Looking at the source, I suspect that rumour is bullshit.

M'Vila if he wanted to come in for cheap and back up Coventry..
     But I suspect it's bollocks.

My arch nemesis has told me we’re looking to bring back Mason Burstow initially on loan with an option to buy.

Looking at his goal record, I would go nowhere near him. 3 goals since he left us! I didn't rate him for us either.
Was about to say the same. 3 goals in 51 games. I was thinking he had probably converted to right back.

to be fair to him, I doubt he has started many games since he left us.

Burstow wouldn't be an upgrade in any way on what we've got. Can see him ending up in League 1.

Same, I can see how he might develop into a goalscorer, but I was never impressed by his all round game.

I don’t see how we could give him the game time he needs to develop and prove himself.

Maybe Burstow could learn off Godden but beyond that I can’t see him improving enough to be a useful addition, his goal return isn’t impressive and don’t think he would push Leaburn/Godden/Tanto/TC. If that was the calibre of striker we were to sign we’d be better off keeping Kanu around

Someone alluded to sell-ons sometimes going beyond the initial buying club. I wonder if we are due any money from Pope's move to Leeds?

Probably sounds odd but I don’t want Mbick to go out on loan. Not saying he’s ready for the first team yet but think he learns more from NJ and being on the fringes with some U21 games than he does playing in NL/L2
Doesn’t sound odd at all, but I think he’d be better off playing adult men games rather than training and playing in U21 games .  I think he’d be guaranteed games in league 2, and more and more teams are playing 2 strikers at the lower level.

Does not sound odd at all. Sounds very sensible. Mbick is very young. Two years younger than Kanu. Their situations are in no way comparable.

Aren’t Hull under a transfer embargo ? Thought they’d want to keep hold of the players they already have. Wiki says 30 games 2 goals for Burstow in Hull colours. Would be a strange signing for us.

M'Vila could be an Arter or a Watson, but he could also be a Diarra or a Pratley
