Anyone know when the players report back for training? Believe some clubs are back today. League one though and don't they start a week before us?

Well the last MM we had from posh wasn't much good... I'm told he's lazy with a poor attitude and hates their fanbase. The fee they're after is a million, which my mate reckons is very steep. He doesn't reckon he can make the step up but could maybe do a job off the bench. Played out wide for posh but more of a striker apparently. Inconsistent finishing but very good at penalties.
I really feel there is a lot to be said in this new age of 5 subs from 9 players for actually buying 'finishers'. Aneke has proved how much of a difference 1 player can make off the bench.

Players who are very strong and fast who can out bully and out sprint tired defenders but maybe aren't as technically proficient. Players like Oloafe and Mothersille would fit well into this.
As well as TC and Small’s impact when they both played, remember the difference Danny Haynes made in the Championship?

He never really got going in his first half a season with us in L1, but while BWP was largely ineffective, Haynes pace soon made him a key player for us in the Championship. He scored some great goals too, but he didn’t have to be outstanding technically or at reading the game, because his pace got him in so many good positions.

With Small going I feel we need a few pacey signings up front and at wing back. We’ll be in a much stronger position if we have a couple of starters with pace, and can then bring a couple more off the bench.

They’ll probably all be frustrating, inconsistent players, but without them we’ll be too slow and easy to defend against.
it’s why it’s so frustrating that Dixon hasn’t yet shown he’s ready for the first 15.  He’s the quickest player at the club and can score goals. Having him ready and available could be a literal game changer. Guess we need to trust Jones on this one.

I like the look of Mustapha Bundu of Plymouth - out of contract and just been relegated, he’s seen his manager leave plus Hardie & Randell go too… we should be looking at this type of player.
    C’mon, we mustapha better option!

No idea about us but I’m guessing this next week we’ll start to see clubs much keener to get players in so as to give them a full pre season and go on training camp.

A misspelling of car brand Kia is Kai. Make the same mistake twice and… welcome back Sulley Kaikai.

I'm feeling like a bold prediction so here goes. One of two things is 100% guaranteed for today - we will either make a signing, or we won't.

Put me in the ITK club.
Already a member mate along with 40K other members...🙄

Was never massively convinced by Mothersille, but at 21, I wouldn’t mind seeing how he does after a year or so of Nathan Jones’ coaching.

TC, Small, Coventry, Jones, Gillesphey all now on another level completely to what they were when he took over.

Thought he was good in both games against us, especially the away game.

Missed the away game where I’ve heard he was great tbf. The home game I thought he was fine but never thought ‘he’s capable of playing the level above’.

Whereas Keillor-Dunn, Galbraith and even Oloafe, the trajectory seemed more clear. But as I say, think Jones could do something with him

Why does a random fan who's the uncle of a mate and who is pissed when he at football be a good judge of a professional footballer 🤷🏻‍♂️
Or the man or boy in his bedroom wanting an audience like the pope.

Mothersille at 21 looks decent to me when I'm sober (tea total now)and could well be another posh boy on the upgrade.

If anyone knows any Orient fans, please ask about this vile behaviour because I’m intrigued.
My experience seems to have been the same as a lot of other people’s. Done really nice lads in replica shirts on the train on the way there. Then after the game, some dickheads trying to start aggro then giving the game away by singing ‘I’m forever blowing bubbles’.
Im so glad I'm not the only one totally baffled by this. I actually bumped into a LO Fan, his daughter and dad at South Mimms services on the way home. We had a chat about the game whilst waiting for food and everything was very pleasant, even when leaving the ground etc, so really keen to hear what was so vile?? 🤷🤔

I’ve heard exactly the same from my Peterborough supporting mate . He says he’ll drive him to Charlton himself .

Ok if we want a punt for the future but we really do need to be signing the finished article from this point on. We struggle to score and we’ll go down.

Out of all of our featured forwards last season of 8 players, they contributed a combined 51 league goal involvements.

Malik Mothersille achieved 21 alone (same as Godden). He had double the goal involvements of 5 of those 8 combined individuals (Kanu, Dixon, Aneke, Gassan, Mbick).

Sounds like a squad improvement to me

I don't know if the attitude thing is true or not but even if it is, NJ probably backs himself to crack that dilemma and bring the best out of Mothersille. Which based on his previous record you'd have to say he's probably earned the right to try.

I’m always sceptical of the ‘lazy with a bad attitude’ thing. We had posters saying the same thing about Miles Leaburn on here this season when the team wasn’t playing well.
Also TC last year, when he was just lacking in confidence

I think a lot of people misplace/misunderstand self-confidence as arrogance or having an ego. I personally love a player who has an 'attitude' about them, as long as they ain't shit and punching grannies like Marcus Maddison.

He definitely doesn’t haven’t a bad attitude but he can look lazy at times especially when challenging for headers , considering his height.

To be fair. Mothersille had a stinker one game last season and he looked up and messaged any fans that criticised him on social media. He also has been quoted saying he will win the ballon d'Or within 5 years 😂. Bit of a character...

I’d rather have characters than bland players with no personality though
