If a defender heads the ball on the goal line in a forward direction to the keeper, is it a backpass?
If you head the ball to the keeper that's OK.
Unless the ball is on the ground and you get down on all fours to head it back in which case the ref books you for being a cheeky c***, otherwise known as ungentlemanly conduct.
Usually a backpass has to be a deliberate pass from Defender to their Goalkeeper for it to be penalised, any hint of a deflection or shanked pass and its usually let off.
