Looking forward to today - would like to see a 'back to the tried and tested' line up (Godden, Berry and Doc back in, chucks back on bench) - ideally a barnstorming victory, a big and buzzing home crowd and a team and fans love in at the end as second spot gets closer. Caution thrown to the wind at the end and NJ declares a team trip on Sunday as the whole squad take their wives for a mooch around John Lewis.
Got to take the lad down croydon way for a school football fixture just before this. Planning on taking a big dump while i'm there both metaphorically and physically leaving all the shit behind and returning for. 3-1 win
Hooray.
If you’re going to have a big shit anywhere, do it on Palarse territory.

If you're having a big shit in Croydon how could anyone tell the difference?
This will be my first visit to The Valley this season, although I've seen a load of our games on Sky Sports+. If we fall to win, blame me. I must have jinxed it!
Seriously though, I'm confident of another win built around our characteristic solid defence.
Excited and nervous in equal measure today. Need to keep putting the wins in the board to stay in touch of 2nd but we are starting to look weary and barring super human strength think that will be a step too far.
As I’m recovering from an operation my wife is going with my boy today, the last time see went was just over 27 years ago, she got asked to leave the stand as she took a beer in, and we won 5 nil against West Brom I think.

Saddest thing about that is that it was 27 years ago! I remember that match like it was last week.

My boy was a 13 year old mascot (on crutches). He will shortly be 40, talk about making you feel old.
My son is in London for some event at the 02 this weekend and has the bonus of it coinciding with our game today, he has confidently predicted a 2-0 win for us.
Woken up with a stinking cold/flu thing so won't be making it. Come on you Addicks. Wigan don't let in many but I can see us getting 2; so 2-1 or 2-0. Hopefully Wycombe v Wrexham play out a 0-0 with numerous red cards and Huddersfield and Reading both lose !
Just saw a couple of lads I assume waiting for the coach at Hythe, had a quick chat..... Frankly it pulled at my heart strings. I asked them if they were 'lifers' but no, although one ran a team at Crayford arrows he told me, some time ago.... Going to take my grandson down for one of the games, he went to Fulham two weeks ago and enjoyed the game, so have to get him down to the Valley. It's his 7 birthday tommorow so away on a break.
Expecting to see Godden, Berry and Docherty start. It was good to see Gilbert starting the last game, and he did okay but not enough to displace Berry imho. Godden to start for his pressing and Leaburn to come on as a sub.
another home win, we were all over them 1st game of the season, BUT of course, that was then, they have stagnated we have improved. We are TWENTY points better off than them, that tells the tale

Berry is due a goal.
1) The best version of ourselves
2) A clean sheet win (2-0 prediction)
3) The Covered End’s Costa Coffee chants

... and then spill over to the Wycombe/Hollywood fixture at 3pm.
Draws all round except for us who will have a resounding victory in our charge towards promotion.
