  • I'll be at this one
  • Just purchased two tickets and a room at that salubrious 1-star establishment, Travelodge Mansfield Town Centre. We may stop off at Nottingham for a sharpener on the way up.

Mansfield will be a new ground for me. A well run club who operate on a very small budget and one who actually managed to break even in their last financial year. The only high profile former players that I can think of offhand are the prolific striker, Ken Wagstaff (nearly a goal every other game over a 16 year career) and Stuart Boam, who both started with the Stags and went on to great things with Hull and Middlesbrough respectively.
  • Me and Junior are going

Your dad's wavering, Nick - apply some pressure !

  • Impressive numbers imo. I should qualify to get what will be limited numbers of tickets compared to demand for the Wrexham game but I’d have no problem if the club gave priority access  to anyone that goes to the Mansfield match (which I’m not going to).
  • Then everyone will buy a Mansfield ticket and not use it, I suppose. Nice for Mansfield, they keep most of the money.

points don't get added until the match has happened, so no point buying a ticket for Mansfield just to get more points for Wycombe and Cambridge

Prioritise one games attendance versus 2 years accumulating points. You don’t get it do you !

I remember years ago before Palace away the club said that people who went to Swindon away midweek for a cup game would get priority. Cue a bumper crowd in the away end at Swindon that week.

I think it was the Todorov 1-0 win so well worth it.

Blimey. Don't remember that. I was at Swindon but not there for Todorov as my pal had his stag do in Estonia that weekend. He was adamant it had to be that weekend despite it being a full nine months before the wedding. I vividly recall the fixtures hadn't come out when we booked it and I said "hang fire a week until the fixtures come out, just in case it's Palace away that weekend."

    I'm still bitter.
  • Oh and to stay on topic I have my ticket for Mansfield and will be relieved come 14:00 if I can get one for Cambridge.
  • Just booked our Mansfield tickets. Our first out of the West Country since before Covid hit.

Yeah I know, plastic glory hunters, that's us!
