From the outside the stadium looks stunning, but it really is a shithole of an area and needs a lot of development to get it anything like that model. I’m sure there are ways over the dual carriageway, although they aren’t obvious from the model & I can’t imagine sticking around too long outside, admiring the Mersey views, on a cold Tuesday night in December 🥶
That said, hopefully we get a chance to play there in the Premiership before I get my pension!!
You can walk along the Mersey to get there, or use a nearby Merseyrail station . That road to the right isn't a major one, you can cross it easily.
There were overcrowding problems at the Merseyrail station yesterday apparently and that was 1/5th of the capacity. Hopefully there will be more trains or something on matchdays to help
The problem is that the station is really pokey and not designed for the numbers now using it.
Feels like something they should have thought of, not like they've had years or anything
The attitude towards stadiums and public transport does seem different between London and the rest of the country. Stadiums like Old Trafford (on 2 tram lines) and the Etihad (on 1 tram line) would never be allowed to keep expanding in London.
Anfield is even worse, you couldn't imagine a 60k stadium in London with such poor rail access.
when I wen to Goodison recently we parked up in a housing estate, gave the "boss2 a tenner, and care was still there when we got back. Seemed to work as a system!

It’s not just rail and it’s not just big football towns either. The lack of consideration (or maybe just incompetence) when it comes to accessing new stadia on a match day can be problematic wherever you are.
I remember a few years ago going to see Charlton at Colchester not long after they’d moved in to their new stadium. Maybe more of you remember similar issues that day? Access wasn’t fully complete and there was only one long winding road in and out. Absolutely jammed with traffic and we ended up getting in about 15 minutes after kick off and there were plenty of cars behind us. We weren’t the sort of people to cut it fine either, we were on that one road in with about an hour to spare.

Ha, I’m pretty sure 90% of the GDP of northern England is based on the “mind your car” industry!
Very impressive new Everton stadium. I'm looking forward to going there as an Addick when we are back in the BIG time .. (I do hope to live well past 100)

Couple of artisan bakeries and coffee shops should gentrify the area.
I know the whole "new stadiums are just soulless bowls" thing is bit of a cliche, but is it just me that thinks the new Everton stadium looks really dull?
Haven't even bothered etching their name or anything into the seats. Very generic.
I would have expected them to make a few gestures to make it have a bit of a Goodison look to it, rather like Derby did with the white cladding at Pride Park.
It does look like it could be for any team that play in blue.
Hoping they are doing stadium tours when our cruise ship pulls into Liverpool for two days in June. Better that than visiting places made famous by four blokes with mops for hair who couldn't even sing.
Watched Everton v Posh in FA Cup on a THURSDAY night, so had a look at Bramley Moor Dock the next day. The point I have not seen on this page is the the area adjacent is to be redeveloped with 9000 new houses and associated facilities, so in a few years it should be in a swanky area, also a fanzone is to be built at the local rail station about 600 metres away, for AFTER match use, to entertain people whilst awaiting to board trains. Perhaps Brighton might consider this, remember freezing on the footbridge after a midweek 0-0.

Brighton encourage fans to stay at the stadium, the bars stay open and are actually pretty pleasant with quite decent beer.
I remember on my only visit some idiots misbehaving so the away bars were closed after the game, but I just popped into a home area instead.

If we ever play at The Amex again travel back to Lewes, not so busy getting out of Farmer, and Lewes is very pleasant for a drink.
Yeah the Amex is my major bugbear of a stadium, even worse when I'm a local so going back into Lewes doesn't really work for me. They've got planning for a Fanzone type thing down towards the station so that might help a bit but doesn't really help that Falmer station isn't really equipped for 32k crowds and the Park and Rides just sit in traffic too.

Public transport to Spurs is not great, lots of people do the longish walk to the Victoria Line (1.5 miles)

It's not the greatest, but they did rebuild the nearby White Hart Lane station to increase capacity, and there's Silver Street or Northumberland Park as well.

Everything about spurs is long. They are so far north I don't even class them as a London club. Should have a rivalry with Stevenage and Watford.

Also went when a few of ours apparently kicked off so the bars were closed after the game.
