2500 is the capacity of the stand behind the goal lol
None of it makes sense then.
Why give us 391 at the side when there's several hundred available still behind the goal. Unless there's netting/advertising over the seats?
Not sure to be honest! Think they've booted the home fans out so not sure why they don't just utilise the whole stand. Maybe blocking off the ends to prevent crowd trouble.
It’s not a match that is known for any bad feeling between the fans: and there is potentially a big upside for Posh if Charlton go up. Edun was a big bonus for them and it wouldn’t surprise me if he hasn’t shared his knowledge and thoughts about his ex-teammates and the youth team players. If we are in the Championship next season then that’s likely to limit chances for giving younger players first team experience (no EFL trophy, no 1st and 2nd rounds of the FA Cup). Posh on the other hand have a history of developing basically unknown players from elsewhere and Ferguson is a manager with form. Sending them a couple of lads on loan (we seem to be having a purple patch with prospects atm) and maybe letting them have another surplus to requirements player on the terms we gave them for Edun might be an attractive prospect for both sides. A goodwill gesture with the extra tickets now, and earn a bit more revenue at the same time, wouldn’t be such a hard thing to do for teams that basically get on OK in other times.
I think you're probably being serious which is very worrying and equally ludicrous.
Are there any grounds where a steward is there to attend to your needs as a customer, like making sure you're happy in your seat then going to get drinks etc if needed? Also sorting out ticket dispute directly. Maybe it's something for the future.
Are you related to letthegoodtimesroll? This is nearly as bonkers as his post.
We've just made a decision to go to this but the only tickets available all say ambulant disabled. Do I need to wait till morning when someone updates the site?
Edit: Worked it out - you have to minimise the "Ambulant disabled" bit then the extra allocation becomes visible
Not sure if it's been posted before but for those not going to the match it is being shown live on Skysports+
Has the kick off been moved then? If not then no it isn't.
Apologies, I stand corrected. Surprised though it hadn’t been posted before this evening, sure a lot going, myself included, had forgotten about this.
Think the 3pm blackout argument is blown over the top. Once we sell out the last of the Peterborough tickets it will be the 5th consecutive away game we've sold our allocation out with the 2 most recent and P'boro all being shown on TV.
I'm sure lots of fans did forget but probably would still go to the game regardless. Nothing beats being there at the moment.

Not convinced about this. This is based on us flying at the moment and our league position, + 3 consecutive away matches with low away allocations (local x2 + rarely visited stadium x1) all of which combine to render the televised or not situation practically irrelevant.
However, in the cold light of day in the usual run of things, I think the turnout at a Saturday 3pm away match at Posh 1 year or even 2 months ago could well have been substantially impacted by the option to watch on telly.
IMO the Crawley game last week if we’d had an unlimited allocation, or the Barnsley home attendance the week prior, would have been / were impacted by the option to watch on telly.

definitely impacts it - no way would we have got the crowd we had saturday if the game was a 12.30 ko and on tv
Also I suspect Huddersfield at home next week , if it was a 3pm kick off or a 12.30 kick off that’s wasn’t on TV would be substantially better attended than it will be , especially by home fans .

I'm not sure a Saturday 3pm Peterborough would be that impacted by TV, as it's a good day out, with lots of pubs and fast, frequent trains.
And lets face it a lot of people would have watched Charlton TV via VPNs anyway, as indeed I will be doing as I can't make it to Peterborough this time.

It’s an okay day out but a fixture we have played far far too many times in the last decade.
The VPN point is valid - I think that option also impacts crowds.

Wasn’t sold out last season and that was at the beginning of the season in beautiful sun before it had all gone wrong, it isn’t a guaranteed sell out at all

We still brought 1904, and that would have been affected by summer holidays

Yes this will be a very clear demonstration of the double impact of an earlier kick off and on tv when compared to the Wigan home crowd turnout - I reckon it will be a few thousand down whereas in theory it should be going up

It is. Along with all the other League One and League Two games. A quick Google search told me as much. No Prem games so no 3pm blackout.
- All other broadcast games include:
- All opening and final day fixtures in the Sky Bet EFL
- All mid-week league fixtures
- All bank holiday fixtures including Easter, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day
- All fixtures played in League One & Two during international breaks
- All Play-Off, Carabao Cup and Bristol Street Motors Trophy fixtures

There's the Charter's Bar which is a boat on the river by the bridge as you walk towards the ground from the station, great atmosphere usually!
