2500 is the capacity of the stand behind the goal lol
None of it makes sense then.
Why give us 391 at the side when there's several hundred available still behind the goal. Unless there's netting/advertising over the seats?
Not sure to be honest! Think they've booted the home fans out so not sure why they don't just utilise the whole stand. Maybe blocking off the ends to prevent crowd trouble.
It’s not a match that is known for any bad feeling between the fans: and there is potentially a big upside for Posh if Charlton go up. Edun was a big bonus for them and it wouldn’t surprise me if he hasn’t shared his knowledge and thoughts about his ex-teammates and the youth team players. If we are in the Championship next season then that’s likely to limit chances for giving younger players first team experience (no EFL trophy, no 1st and 2nd rounds of the FA Cup). Posh on the other hand have a history of developing basically unknown players from elsewhere and Ferguson is a manager with form. Sending them a couple of lads on loan (we seem to be having a purple patch with prospects atm) and maybe letting them have another surplus to requirements player on the terms we gave them for Edun might be an attractive prospect for both sides. A goodwill gesture with the extra tickets now, and earn a bit more revenue at the same time, would t be such a hard thing to do for teams that basically get on OK in other times.
Only reason I'm making that assumption is the stand holds almost 2600 and if we have the side as well we won't be utilising it. Thankfully Edun is suspended as I've heard comparisons to Roberto Carlos in work today... Kyprianou is also unavailable who's a key player for them and Poku is apparently miles off it after a long time on the sidelines. They're picking up a bit of form but I think we will pick up a result.

Because they leave seats spare as away fans sit where they want and not what it says on the tickets . If they sold the lot it would be a nightmare for stewards . They do the same as Stevenage.

Bit pathetic then really if their stewards can't cope on one of the 3-4 times a season their away end probably sells out. How do PL teams cope every week?

Away fans also get in scraps with each other when they find that someone is in their seats . Seen it a few times .

It won’t be for that. It will be for access, segregation sheet, safety or what’s now given up for wheelchair access etc. I reckon
Jealous of everyone who’ll be there. Make a racket for all of us.
it’s ok Callum, I’ve given Golfie the day off from our Misery Society so it’s down to me to remind everyone that we are always sh*t and lose when we have good away support.
Just wait until the club call the day "Operation London Road"

That number probably rounds off a ‘section; and there’s no point in printing any more tickets off for the next section if we don’t sell that lot asap given the game is the end of the week.

This does have all the beginnings of a "Charlton large turn out shit performance" scenario.
Hello all! Me and the Mrs bought our tickets this morning. Two friends have also asked us to book them in 10 minutes later should I see about getting the tickets put together or is it a bit of a free for all in the away end? Not been to an away match since I was a lad!

It better not I've just bought 2 tickets 🙄 We have also had a "large Charlton turn out" at Wembley a couple of times and they didn't turn out too badly 😉

Depends on luck mate, could be worth asking Charlton ticket office to see what they suggest. Might cancel your 2 and do 4 together.

Allocated seating is nonsense and more hassle than it's worth, get there as soon as you can and head towards the back, stragglers then don't have to faff around.
The idea that some people can show up 15 mins later and try and sit in an allocated seat closer to kick off is ridiculous.
I genuinely hate everything about allocated seating away. Just has to be common sense and being courteous

I can’t remember the last time I used the allocated seat area (I stand up) for an away match which matches the number on the ticket I had. Don’t go in late, like the rest of us, and aim for somewhere nearer the front.
Thanks for your sage advice everyone, especially the Away end vets. I’m mainly a sitter so I’ll take heed of the advice about sitting towards the front. Here’s to three more points! COYRs!!!
I get the point but some people can't stand for periods and need a seat at the front so maybe those that intend to stand should stand at the back.
They should, that's what I'm saying. The little groups who make a bit of racket amongst themselves, you know they're gonna try and go further up as they don't want to be near the front.
If I ever wanted to sit I'd always just go to the front.
I think my hatred of allocated seated also comes from the power trip stewards get from trying to act like some type of enforcer and speaking to you like you're nothing as they attempt to selectively guide people to their seats.
I’m all for siting where you like when there is enough spare seats, but when it’s a full allocation all you need the odd spare seat in a row which causes chaos across all areas.
Are there any grounds where a steward is there to attend to your needs as a customer, like making sure you're happy in your seat then going to get drinks etc if needed? Also sorting out ticket dispute directly. Maybe it's something for the future.

I'm not sure I buy this...
are you suggesting Posh will want us to win so they can secure some players that Tayo Edun (a mediocre left back, not a youth scout) liked the look of?

If you could pick your seat in the away end then fair enough, but without that option it should always be sit/stand where you like for away games. If I’m paying for tickets/travel/food/drink etc then I at least want a decent view of the game

I'd love to agree but I'm not convinced!
I very much doubt they’d want us to win but the downside of us doing so wouldn’t be such a deal breaker that they wouldn’t want us to have more tickets.

The issue is this
For matches like this, where Charlton will sell out the away end (especially given our current form), there should not be any seat allocation, as we are restricted to 2 tickets per supporter, so it’s impossible to get a row of seats all together for groups of fans who go together
There are 6 of going Saturday, and we want to watch together obviously
In fact, if we sell out or not, there should not be any seat allocation
Put another way, the more ‘lively’ Charlton fans will congregate together, regardless of what their ticket says - behind the goal, high up - there will be other fans who are less lively / not ‘industrial language’ etc, who would not want to be near the ‘lively’ lot, but if their tickets were slam bang in the middle of them, they would seek alternative seating
It always works itself out - been following Charlton away for donkey’s years, can only recall 2 times someone was insistent that they had the seat I was in - both times they moaned that everyone was standing up and moved

Hopefully Edun’s told them Ahadme is a world beater!
In all seriousness, I highly doubt Peterborough have got Tayo Edun scouting for them, let’s be serious.
