I reckon Leaburn will come back in for this one. Just to keep it fresh.

    2-0 TC and Berry

Neither team have lost after going ahead this season. So we will go 1-0 up then lose 2-1 probably

We were told any January signings would have to be an upgrade on what we already had so shouldn’t we be seeing McIntyre and Gilbert start?

Fo what it’s worth I think Gilbert might start as Berry is better off the bench for the last twenty when he may pop up with a crucial goal. McIntyre will probably start Tuesday in my opinion.

First goal vital and it’ll be a close game but hoping for a 2-1 win.

They may be better than we've already got but let's give them a chance to get used to the rest of the squad and how NJ wants them to play.

As ever we need that first goal. Stevenage have hit form at the wrong time for us, a bit like Blackpool. Sky cameras, early kick off, has 0-0 written all over it.
  • We're chasing promotion and we're at home to a League One team. Just go out and win.

I think Gilbert has been brought in to play, whereas Macintyre is here as extra cover necessitated by REG leaving - I don't think he necessarily going to automatically replace Gillesphey. So switch Gillesphey with Macintyre and Berry with Gilbert and I think that'll probably be the starting XI. I have a sneaky feeling Leaburn might be back in for Godden as well.

You've obviously seen him play a lot more than me then.

Two very winnable home games back to back. What an opportunity to push right into that top six. Especially with Orient out of action this weekend.

Surely we’ll lose the next two then beat Birmingham, won’t we?
  • Stevenage are in a fine run of form.

We have been told we were only bringing in quality in the transfer window so I cannot see how Gillesphy and Berry hold onto their places when they have been our weaker players recently.  So 2 new, quality additions straight into the team and a win please Charlton.

I think this meant they would improve the squad - not the starting line up necessarily.

Also Jones has shown that he keeps a starting line up where possible so don’t think he will chuck the new signings in from the start just to bed them. We’ll see though…

The last time I came over and saw us play Stevenage was in 2011 when we were on a great promotion run under SCP.
We were rubbish and lost 1-0.

    Apologies to all in advance.

I imagine that Gilbert and McIntyre will be on the bench, with Gilbert perhaps coming on for Berry deep into the second half.

Up front is a bit of a conundrum - we could use Leaburn's height in both boxes against a big physical team, although Godden's two goals last week mean he'll probably start.

It's always a crap game when we play this lot. They're another Shrewsbury.
  • Midday games - A no no.

Stevenage - Anytime, home or away, a no no.

Cmon lads let’s take them to the cleaners! 3-0

I'm going to be positive and say a win, by the odd goal. My gut says it's a draw though.
  • Nervous about this one, not going to be easy at all.

0-1 and the start of a run that leads us back to our rightful place in League One of 14th, and yet another season of facing Shrewsbury, Bristol Rovers and the mighty Northampton Town next year
  • Thankfully it is rare I ever dream about Charlton.

But last night I dreamt we lost 2-1 (thanks brain).

Stevenage are on a similar points tally to ourselves and in pretty good form.

If we can't beat teams of our level at home, the chances are that we won't manage to do so in the play-off leg(s) either.

    Come on Charlton.

It feels like a spin of a coin who wins this and to redress the balance with the understandable negativity of 5 mediocre seasons of many of the above and below posters, I'm going 2-1 Charlton and Daniel Kanu* gets the winner.

    * Hopefully Kanu makes the 18 and Chuks can ironically say he fit but doesn't make the bench as he's just not Sharp enough to even close down in his cameos.
