It's good to see the midfield spread out across the pitch with Tiny Tel and TC staying out wide and not being drawn into the middle, clogging up space.
Spread out.
Who'd have thought that Karel Fraeye was a tactical innovator?6 -
I would describe Nathan Jones there as ‘animated’.2
-
Shrewsbury look pretty poor.
They are there for the taking.
And those two sentences will no doubt be the kiss of death for us.8 -
Absolutely shocking play by Gillephrey. Please bring someone in to replace him2
-
Trying to play a possession based style on this pitch feels like a recipe for disaster.0
-
Keep giving them these half hearted forays forward towards our penalty area, and they'll find a lucky pass eventually2
-
Gillesphey always a weak link0
-
Gillesphey and Mitchell looking dodgy again today2
-
Lovely interception from Edwards to stop a Shrews attack, they're getting a little bit more confident3

Haha... Edwards wins a FK by getting his body across the Shrews man... Thats his trademark move3
-
I don't like to scapegoat players, especially when we're in charge of the game BUT ...
The number 3 is by far the weakest link.you'd think that if Shrews score it's coming through him.1 -
Going to need some patience today. Shrewsbury pressing and harrying very well, but expect that will tire a bit as the game wears on. We need to keep moving them around and probing.3
-
Trouble with Gillesphey (No.3) is he's good at the long ball, and think he's decent when the attacker pauses so he can get the standing tackle in.
But when under pressure, or has a attacker racing towards him. or trying to use his head... thats when he's a liability4 -
The first 25 mins has flown by.
It's been relatively entertaining to watch and we're in control but nothing to show for it so far and not many actual chances created.2 -
We are making heavy weather of getting round the Shrewsbury back line, they have clearly come here for a 0-02
-
A healthy crowd and the pitch is looking good, according to our Tel who appears to have turned into…Croydon said:I'm in the west stand today for a change and the upper covered end is so sparse

Technically he reminds me of Dave Shipperley. Great as long as you don't give him the ball.1 -
Stockport 1-0 Crawley0
-
Not the most entertaining game but feels like if we get one goal they’ll open up and we might be able to get two or three2

Seems a classic game against Shrewsbury... I know we beat them 6-0 here a few years ago, but nearly every clash with them, whether its here at the Valley or at their place... Its nearly always tight and cagey
In the last nine meetings, there have only been two games where either side has scored more than once in a match3 -
Need to drive at them a bit more. Any time Campbell or Small get a yard of space they look
vulnerable.2 -
Brilliant bit of wing play there by TC.3
-
Oh what a move from TC... Sells his Defender on the edge of the area, digs out a cross which flashes across goal, but it finds a Shrews player to clear rather than 1-02
-
TC's giving the left back all sorts of problems, yet another lovely move into the box just fails to find a foot to touch it in, but surely coming soon...1
-
On replay, and the Shrews defender JUST gets his foot in there to clear else Leaburn does make it 1-0 by the looks of things1
-
Well done ref!
Shrews' no 9 lifted the ball over the defender's head then ran straight into him (deliberately) and went to ground.
Play on.2 -
Someone give Small some shooting practice. Please.0
-
Jones lost his mind at that shot from Small0
-
And while I was typing that stuff happened and Shrews have a goal kick.0
