We've locked horns on 33 previous occasions winning 11, Shrewsbury 11 and the remaining 11 clashes ending all square, Gas was on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture in September 2024 as we claimed a 1-0 win in Shropshire, however Gareth Ainsworth's side come into the clash on the back of a 2-1 win at home to high-flying Wrexham last time out...
Kayne Ramsay returns to the squad as Nathan Jones names an unchanged starting XI for today’s game against Shrewsbury Town at The Valley.
It is the first time Ramsay has been in a matchday squad since suffering a knee injury against Stockport County in October.
It will be the seventh league game in a row that Jones has named the same line-up with Alex Mitchell, Lloyd Jones and Macaulay Gillesphey starting in a back three in front of Ashley Maynard-Brewer.
Thierry Small and Josh Edwards will operate as wing-backs with Luke Berry, Conor Coventry and skipper Greg Docherty making up a midfield three, behind the front two of academy graduates Miles Leaburn and Tyreece Campbell.
Ramsay is joined on the bench by Will Mannion, Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Karoy Anderson, Chuks Aneke, Matty Godden and Daniel Kanu.
Charlton: Maynard-Brewer; A.Mitchell, Jones, Gillesphey; Small, Coventry, Berry, Docherty (c), Edwards; Leaburn, T.Campbell
Subs: Mannion, Ramsay, Edmonds-Green, Anderson, Aneke, Godden, Kanu

welcome back Kane
But he's got Scottish clubs "apparently" interested in his signature, and now he's not even on the bench for us this afternoon... Instead we opt for just the one "natural" Midfielder as backup in Anderson.
Play OJO.
I'll go 3-0
In good form since he took over
Beat Wrexhsm in their local Derby
