    I still have no.clue how its all going to pan out. There could be a scenario where Stockport end up 3rd, us 4th & Wycombe 5th. 

    Just a bit pee'd off that whoever we play away I doubt if I'll get a ticket, seeing as I've only got 175 loyalty points. Shame because I was at Palace, Swindon, Shrewsbury & Donny. Before that I was at Leeds & Ipswich. But my choice not to get a season ticket these past 2 years. 

    But at least I haven't been a numpty & booked a holiday for the end of May. I mean, who does that 🤷‍♂️.

    Whatever happens, we mustn’t finish 4th as I fly off for a family holiday on 15th May and couldn’t bear missing the home leg of a PO semi-final. Ideally 3rd place ensures I can attend both home and away legs. 5th means I’d miss the away leg. 6th place is very unlikely. Lap of the Gods, I’d say.

    Regardless of where we have finished the turn around from last season to this season has been amazing. The matches against Wycombe and Wrexham will be great preparations for the upcoming play offs matches, and two home matches in front of big crowds at The Valley. 

    Wrexham dropping points yesterday was good, but still don’t believe we will get that 2nd place. Don’t expect Wrexham to drop points on Easter Friday to Bristol Rovers who are in woeful form. 

    Personally think we will finish 5th and play Wycombe over two legs.

    I don't expect them to drop points to Bristol Rovers but I do expect them to drop them away to Blackpool and Wigan. If we beat them, and do our business, that will be enough to take care of them. It is more likely we won't be able to win every remaining game but if we did, well we will most likely gain that second spot IMO. I would say we haven't reached the point where it is impossible and the fewer games to go where that remains the case the better.

    The recent(ish) away game at their place says it all. Stockport dominated for long stretches, and we barely laid a glove on them. We were lucky to get out of there with a 0-0.

    If we have to go back there for a second leg, I’d be seriously nervous—especially if we don’t take a solid lead from the first leg at The Valley.

    Our away form hasn’t been great this season—even in the games we’ve won—so that’s where we’re most vulnerable over two legs. At The Valley, though, I’d back us to beat anyone. And if we make it to Wembley with 35,000+ Addicks behind us? Game on.

    If we’re the better side over two legs we’ll go forward and if not we won’t. I’m sure most would choose playing Peterborough over Stockport or Wycombe but we all know how that one worked out. We’ll be competitive against whoever we have to face and frankly, what will be will be.

    Not sure football is Josep's game, being from Cambridge perhaps a punt down the Camb wood be a better choice

    Perhaps if the Cambridge players concentrated on kicking the ball instead of the opposition players a bit more then it would have been a better game. Hoping Cambridge get relegated because I hate these anti football sides.

    They aren't gonna have a great time next season if they cannot manage a shot on target at home against a league 2 quality side... No chance Cambridge come back up next year.

    Back to my earlier question, how did we pick up 4 more bookings than them?
    I realise it's slightly rhetorical, but only goes to emphasise the dogshit standard of officiating in League One.

    I have done a predictor. I have tried to be fair and unbiased apart from two games, Wycombe and Wrexham were I have input narrow wins for us because it is obvious we have to win these games. I think the predictor only confirms that winning these games is the crux for automatic promotion. If we lose those two games I think we are looking at 5th.

    We could lose on Friday against Northampton and still guarantee playoffs as long as Orient lost to Barnsley and Bolton lost to Wycombe as well.

    I reckon we will win all 4 games. Northampton are pony (sorry any lurking Cobblers), there will be no pressure on us going into Wycombe and Wrexham, I genuinely believe we will beat them both, I reckon Burton will be secure by the time we play them, and either way, we will give them a hiding I reckon, similar to how we did to Rochdale all those seasons ago on the last day. 

    My two concerns are a) I don't think Wrexham will earn less than 2 points Vs. Bristol Rovers and Blackpool, which is what we probably need to sneak past and b) I am more worried about Stockport also winning their last 4 games, hard to ignore their form.

    Got a feeling we will finish above Wycombe looking at their fixtures, no easy games there. 

    Either way, job done. We can look forward to the play-offs now minimum, as there's no chance this side will bottle this 10 point advantage.

    Slightly different perspective as I think Wrexham will drop  points against Blackpool & Lincoln......and Stockport will drop points against Peterborough & Lincoln. Might all hinge on that final match between Wycombe & Stockport, but I dont think we'll finish lower than 4th.

    I still expect us to finish 4th (due to playing Burton on the final day). I have a feeling Stockport vs Wycombe will be a must three points for one of those teams (if not both), so if we remain constant throughout then we should have the Home leg second.

    Also would be good since if they are using their energy in that final day, we can rest some key players for the play-offs.

    One thing I don't want to happen is Wrexham to clinch promotion vs us (since that makes that final day less impactful).

    Yeah. And if it weren’t for those dropped points against Reading, Rotherham, Blackpool, Stevenage, Bristol Rovers, Stockport, Barnsley, Wrexham, Exeter, Huddersfield, Crawley, Lincoln, Mansfield, Birmingham and Peterborough we’d have won the league by now.

    If I flip our game at Wrexham to a Charlton win it would appear second place is ours on the 6 point switch. But if we beat Wrexham their game at Lincoln is no longer an easily lost dead rubber, and I'd expect them to win that if it were to hold on to second place.

    If by some miracle Bristol Rovers get something at Wrexham it blows everything wide open. But the second best home record against the worst away record, I can't see it. Do Rovers have ANY redeeming features to make some kind of case for them?

    I can only imagine it being an off day, they have been up top all season so they must be doing something right, unfortunately.
    I am not a lover of them but they have shown that spending a few quid pays dividends.
