Good first half, we had plenty of half-decent chances.

    Shame about the ref.
  • HT 0-0 No clear advantage here in the first half, both sides having chances, we go again second half and towards The Covered End, now come on Charlton we can win this one

    🥳🥳🥳
  • And the yellow card goes to Reading!

    Work that one out ...
Nah thats the right decision... Just because Edwards has "fouled" the man first, doesnt mean to say that the Reading player can do what he wants, especially as it was after the whistle had blown
Of course. But why is he immune from a red card just because the whistle’s already gone?
  • Decent first half that, definitely look the more dangerous and TC yet again has the beating of his man every time

The foul wasn't even Edwards it was given for a Docherty push apparently?

  • We look so much better than a few weeks ago. Lloyd Jones a huge part of that.

  • Decent half, by two decent looking teams. Reading probably had the most clear cut chances, but we created more.

I hope we can come on stronger 2nd half
  • Fairly poor first 25 I thought then much improved last 20. We are a bit guilty of fannying around with the ball around the Reading box. Need to make decisions faster

    Edwards didn't foul anyone.

On the commentary they were saying that the Reading player was pushed into the challenge, hence the free kick to them. But nobody pushed him. Docherty slightly held him back, which lead to him lunging into the challenge. Cant see how the commentators didn't see that. Nobody was pushed.

Did they? TC had 2 shots their keeper had to save
  • We wonder when May will score, then we wait, if Aneke if he will ever score.

May scored 2 goals in a game, Aneke scored 1 goal in a season.

To be promoted , you need to have the best players in the division.

We let  our best forward go, then complain when we struggle.

Typical Charlton selling our best players!

Chill Winson! We've got Matty Godden, twice the player according to some.
  • Decent half, first twenty to Reading but we now have taken control. Campbell is frightening the life out of them and Docherty having another decent game.

They had the one with the fantastic Jones block and the ball that fizzed across the box. We definitely had a higher volume of chances though
  • Decent half. Thought we played pretty well in patches. They probably had the clearest chance, but we've had a few where we could/should have done better.

Agree to disagree but the blocked shot could have been going anywhere, and a shot on target is worth more than that to me

Was the one fizzed across the face offside? Hard to tell whether the lino gave a goal kick or offside
  • Feel like we had the first 10, they had the next 20 and we had the last 15.

Think we saw our midfield solve the pressing problem in real time, hopefully they continue to taking that forward into the second half because there should be chances for TC and Miles in front of the Covered End… not to mention 20 mins of Chuks and Godden off the bench.

My one sensible observation for the year!

The blocked shot was deffo on target.
  • Genuinely not much in it, but I think if we carry on like those last 15/20 mins, I can see us getting a couple.

Reading will carry a threat to the end though, too much quality. Still sticking to my 3-1 😂

Yes, Doc pushed Mbengue and that’s what the free kick was for. After that Mbengue’s challenge on Edwards is what drew the card.

If there wasn’t a push from Doc first, we would’ve had the free kick… but without the push, Mbengue probably doesn’t make that tackle so 🤷‍♂️
  • Two decent sides, not much in it, feel our chances have come from us being tenacious and pushing for mistakes from them.

I have to say, TC has been fkn class. Must be very difficult to play against, quick, fairly strong, and has a great instinct. If he can work on his finishing, he will be so good for us.

    Can see us winning this
Once TC finds some consistency in finishing he gets taken by someone higher up imo, got all the tools to be a class player just needs to tie it all together now
  • We are definitely trying to pass it more, and we do seem to have worked on attacking tactics.

A massive problem with being caught on the break from our corners though, that's their best chance of scoring
