    Seems these days that if there's the prospect of playing on anything but a perfect playing surface then people shit their pants - including refs. 

    A few bald patches or a pitch holding a bit of water causes mayhem.

    Going to be a real kick in the balls for anyone who has travelled if this gets called off  - and I genuinely sympathise with you - but this could easily turn out into a farce and someone get injured if it goes ahead.

    A bit OTT mate. The wind's dropped and the pitch looks OK from the photos. Hardly a mud patch.

    A weather front which brought the torrential rain hadn't reached Crawley at noon.
