Surprised Overton is back on…0
-
We should have Craig Overton brought on as a secret sub for his brother0
-
What a catch from Carse!0
-
Game over.0
-
Jamie Lazarus Overton returns with his "pinkie" put back in place and suitably bandaged.0
-
Brook with 5 outfield catches. First time a captain has done so in an international ODI.2

If we had to bowl 50 overs today, on that pitch we look a seamer short.
None of the top 7 bowl seam, which doesn't help. Instead we have 3 spinners and 2 keepers.0 -
Addick Addict said:That is brain dead cricket from Carty. He knows that Mahmood and Carse can't carry on bowling through so one end will open up even if Rashid is bowling at the other. Wouldn't be surprised if his fellow players shun him in the dressing room and leave him on his Todd.
(You need to be of a certain age to get this reference, btw. Nicely done @Addick Addict )

Looks like an absolute road at Canterbury for the Lions game , Tom Haines has tonned up and Karun Nair hit a double ton for India A.1

I like Carse. Is he in the Test squad.....and if not why not ?0

West Indies 308 all out (47.4)
A really poor display from us in the field with four dropped catches, two missed run outs and numerous misfields.
We are also definitely a proper spin bowler short at the moment - Bethell and Jacks between them returned 10-0-91-2 compared to Rashid's 10-0-63-4. The best teams will make mincemeat of our current fifth bowling options.

2-2 (both runs wides)
Smith and Dukett out. The latter dropped two catches, missed a run out and now has a duck to add to his day. He's had better days!0 -
This innings from Root is sublime, just hope he gets us over the line. Great from Jacks too2
-
289-7 20 req'd from 23 balls.
Root 154 no

Roooooooooooooooooooooot0

Golfie's going to be absolutely furious. Neither side bowled their full allocation of overs.8
-
England win by 3 wickets
Root 166 no.0 -
Great game to watch
At one time it was in the ballance.
Root decided otherwise0 - Sponsored links:

We're going Tuesday, weather not looking great at this stage.0
-
Root 166 (as opposed to 66)2
-
Jacks given out on a marginal umpire's call on 49 when the game was nearly won.
Root given not out on a marginal umpire's call, when he had made just 6 runs.
Such are the tight margins of cricket, with the on field decision making a massive difference here.3 -

I imagine it's pretty unusual to have five international teams scheduled to play in this country on the same day, especially as it's IPL Finals Day. England are due to play West Indies at The Oval, while South Africa play Zimbabwe in Arundel and Wales play a home match in Usk. Has that ever happened before?0

I think @Chizz was asking is it rare for there to be a number of International matches being played in the UK outside of a tournament.0 -
The West Indies are stuck in traffic on the other side of the river. What a farce.1
