England's semi-final will be against the loser of the Australia v South Africa game. The winner of that game plays India or New Zealand. England's final group game against NZ can't affect which semi we play in, but could end up deciding if NZ knock India out (if NZ beat India tomorrow).
Given that we need to try something different if we're looking to win this thing rather than just reach the semis, and some of the commentators have been saying we're picking the wrong players in the wrong positions, we may end up having the opportunity to experiment against NZ. With the added bonus that if it goes wrong it might dump India out of their own competition.1 -
