I've just amended my tickets with Avanti. It was £72 for tomorrow and it's cost a further £49 on top to change to Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed there's not anotĥer postponement.
You should be ok, the temperature will start rising on Sunday. Are you able to change your hotel?

I'm staying with a pal who I'm dragging along to the game. So one expense spared at least.

I don't know why you don't walk it mate
Ha, well. If the order of games was PNE - Bolton- Rotherham then I would have walked between the three of them. Would have been fantastic.
We are just emailing the club to get a refund for the tickets. The hotel we booked for 2 nights in Preston said non refundable
I'm in Preston now...
It's the other stuff which you can't cancel, I was up here anyway, and have an advance ticket back from Preston tomorrow evening, so might as well "enjoy the sights" rather than paying more for a new ticket home...
If it's any consolation to anybody who was booked on a train from Euston this morning there is severe disruption between Euston & Preston & you may be entitled to some compensation under the 'Delay Repay' scheme. https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
