Well if it had been at flare temperature he wouldn't have had a hand left to punch the table with0

Wow, seeing that pic and a few others, he could easily be out for a month or more - and that's if it's just superficial damage.R0TW said:
An entertaining player but can't handle the Ally Pally crowd, and the crowd feed off that and take it too far for my liking.
I wish him well, though he needs help from somewhere, for his sake these meltdowns can't keep happening.0 -
Been going every year to the Ally Pally (Bar the Covid year) since the Worlds moved there in 2008.That afternoon session yesterday with Menzies was the most bonkers thing I have ever seen in that venue. We were side on looking at from the Block behind the walk in for the players. We could see him crouching down and then mayhem ensued. His hand is a right mess. Good job the pro tour does not start around February. Fine incoming and an anger management course. I guess that players have come off stage and have taken it out on bit of furniture but not on it.2 more visits to come this tournament and I would be surprised if I see anything close to that in those couple of sessions.1

Given it’s a world championship it’s a bit crap for non English players that they often just have to accept they will be booed and put off the whole game when playing an English player. Some players just can’t hack that pressure0

Good stuff from Japanese player Motomu Sakai this afternoon. Won his match well, and plenty of entertainment value, too!3

Dom Taylor has failed a drug test (again). Jonny Clayton gets a bye to the 3rd round.0
-
Looking through the first round stats, 60 of 64 games have now been played. Highest 3-dart average of all the players? Luke Littler.0
-
...although game 61 looks like seeing Littler drop to second highest!

Huge upset as Gerwyn Price loses 3-0 to Wesley Plaisier in round 20
-
Great darts be him though. Certainly looks capable0

Some unbelievable darts today2
-
Yeah had a good day yesterday, can't go wrong! Everyone in good spirits, some great darts, too. Callan Rydz on the 167s my pick of what we saw.
Venue capacity rises from approximately 3k to 5k from next year, should be easier to pick up tickets.0 -
My favourite player to watch so far has been Ricky Evans - unbelievable how quickly he plays.0
-
I do like quick players - Michael Smith for example - but there is something about Ricky Evans that puts me off him. Not sure what though.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:My favourite player to watch so far has been Ricky Evans - unbelievable how quickly he plays.1 -
That he’s a fucking idiot? The silly jest to the referee when throwing an underarm dart, the ridiculous looking pyjamas he wears, the post match childish drivel? Need I continue?MrOneLung said:
