Luckily for me, I don't possess a season ticket.
Bit of I did I reckon I'd be straight on the phone to trading standards first thing Monday morning!

I’m shocked how bad Leaburn is at the moment. I think Jones has drained the confidence out of him and this team with his intense management style.
Intense management style and anti football tactics.
  • Relieved that we were not even worse
Could have been out of it by h/t. Playing a back 6 didn't help
  • Let’s be honest that was S…t

bloody disgraceful if Jones says otherwise he’s deluded.

    F…king embarrassing

I don't think that performance will have been enough for the SMT to sack him unfortunately. We were so much better second half but we really didn't need to do much to play better than that first half performance though. The first touches on some of these players are absolutley horrendous and I personally think that is the main reason why we are not getting any joy once we cross the halfway line. The bad touches just kill all momentum and allow the opposition to get a challenge in or force us to pass back. I'm really sorry I love it when a youth player comes through but Anderson, TC & Kanu just aren't up to scratch. The problem with dropping TC though is that he is one of very few attacking minded wing players. Which is absolutley mental.
  • Not quite the season highlight that the Portsmouth pre season friendly was.

Manager and players just seem to have run out of ideas completely. Fans losing interest and ownership not to be heard of…feels familiar. FFS

Much more solid with both Jones and Mitchell at the back. Mostly useless everywhere else.

They won't sack him because (yet again) it highlights their incompetence and like Jones, their ego's will cloud their judgement.

Still, I'm sure the media team will continue to keep trying to convince us that the future is bright.

Agreed, and Jones actually looks like he genuinely cares. Mitchell does have a dodgy touch though which gives me palpitations 2 or 3 times a game

    A real classic.

A classic example of NJs dull, grindy, sufferball style that is.

At least we got a clean sheet draw 🎸

He’ll see the few missed chances and penalty appeal turned down, but if we want to get promoted we shouldn’t be relying on those things going in our favour more games than not. So many poor touches and passes, again little evidence we work on our attacking play in a way that leads to improvement on the pitch.

Turgid, turgid game. The ref blurred how bad both teams were by how totally inept he was.

The actions of the owners will tell us a lot now about how we’re going forward, as he should be gone after the stinking excrement his teams are producing.

They’ll either back him and give him a chance to shake up the squad, do nothing and pray for a turnaround which Charlie and his cronies will no doubt promise or sack him and have a clear out  and pray a new guy can get a better tune out of this squad.

I’d guess their biggest priority is seeing if they can unload us, as we look like a shocking investment at the moment.

I'm not sure I've ever felt such a combination of anger and apathy. This really is a new low in being a Charlton fan.
Sadly my anger has diminished now. It's more apathy and that is much worse.

How are those December points predictions going? I didn't make any, but I didn't think they'd be quite as hard to come by. Lean times seem here to stay. Still Northampton away up next. The home loss to them last season saw off Apples.

A dim light at the end of a very dark tunnel............. Luton lost again. Let's hope they decide it'll be third time lucky.
  • Relegation fight ahead for sure after that.

Just another hopeless attempt to play football. Terrible watch again. If we can't get points from the winnable games then we deserve to fail.
Never been so depressed watching Charlton struggle and offer no threat every game.

Anderson and Leburn guilty of missing good chances which would have changed the game.  Where was Godden in the first half? Forgot he was on the field. Academe offered nothing; A Campbell and Berry the same, I could go on but its the same ineffective and boring performance every week. We do not dominate any opposition and Nathen is not improving anything that I can see.

As much as I do not want to see another change of manager, I canot see Nathen having the talent to turn this around and we are heading for League 2 with this form.

As we are going to make the playoffs, I’m looking forward to an exhilarating second half of the season COYA.

In the meantime, at least we can all enjoy the Strictly final this evening to raise our spirits.

Second half was marginally better, but still poor. We gifted them far too many opportunities in the first half. Luckily, they were as useless up front as we are. At least in the second half, we kept it on the floor more and vaguely seemed like we were trying to attack. Not sure we'd have scored if we'd played all night though.

Our passing is a major problem. So many overhit or underhit balls. In the middle of the last century there were certain managers who incredibly refused to let their teams train with a ball, in the belief that they'd be hungrier for it on match days. Watching our passing,  I wonder if Jones alternates between using balloons and medicine balls for our training sessions, because we never seem seem capable of playing a perfectly weighted pass.

Highlight of the day: The Upbeats.

Lowlight of the day: Take your pick, Charlton, Mansfield and the officials were all hopeless.

A draw is the worse result possible. It makes no difference really to our league position but it gives jones another week I imagine ! We might rue all those missed chances Mansfield had ! Yes the 2nd half was better but it was still pretty pony.

We are basically just as rubbish from one match to the next, all that really impacts whether we win, lose or draw is how awful the opposition are.

Only poor players coming in. Academy not developing league one level players. Mad manager. Boring football. Happy days.
