Charlton in poor form under pressure for a positive result and Mansfield having lost four of their last five meant this was always likely to be a dud at The Valley. Both sides struggled throughout to make anything out of their numerous chances, but it was the Charlton side that had the better of the second half and will feel more aggrieved as they should have had a penalty when Marcus Leaburn was wrestled down in the box.
We’re not good enough to beat Mansfield Town, nor more than half of the League One clubs we’re up against. Sad.

Fair play to both teams they both did their best to lose with their complete shitness
 pathetic
the touch of some of our players is genuinely horrific , useless24

Second half was ok but comparing to a very low bar and you know at the start of next game we will play our normal drab game rather than try and attack3

1 win in 8 league games.

Poor but expected to lose. A better team would have won against us. Mansfield were also poor and their finishing........2

Sounds like I was lucky to be stuck at home with this blasted cold. Have missed two marvelous games this week because of it.
 I'll wind as they say.0

Go back home to Wales Nathan, cause you are not wanted in The Valley.4

Agree. And keep playing the way we did second half. Defenders and midfielders looking to play and move into space not launch it straight to the opposing centre backs.carly burn said:Something to build on.
If we keep playing that way, Jones can stick around.
If we revert to hoofball again then get rid.14

Jones absolutely has to go. Just woeful and gets worse week by week. He is never going to get us out of this mess, not a chance. Got to be the lowest point in my 50 odd years of following Charlton.18

Very poor and really should have been a defeat if they hadn’t blazed it over from 6 yards out. We did at least do the bare minimum in the second half and create a couple of chances, so looking forward to Jones saying it’s the best game he’s coached since he only allowed Man City to have 3 shots.

Some of the worst finishing I can remember by both sides.3

Slightly better second half, but midfield continues to be AWOL. With Jones back we look more solid defensively, but forward guile and movement missing.1

It’s been dire for a few years now, I guess we all thought this season was going to be a big improvement. Saddest thing for me is how desolate the Valley looks, and I’m as bad as any, I really couldn’t be bothered to go. Jones should probably go but I have no faith there will be any long term improvement even if he does.

Could be worse. If we had lost we'd be 17th & a place lower than we finished last season.0

For those that couldn't watch today, here's the highlights..............3
-
Everyone associated with the club need to have a long hard look at themselves, because collectively they have created a bloody awful team, playing awful football, getting awful results.
Bottom line, none of the owners are fans. They are investers wanting a return. Surely they can't be that patient.16

I’m shocked how bad Leaburn is at the moment. I think Jones has drained the confidence and energy out of him and this team with his intense management style.1
-
Please let the season be over ..1

I'm not sure I've ever felt such a combination of anger and apathy. This really is a new low in being a Charlton fan.13
