Mingi, Bate, Norwood and Powell is a pretty good midfield for this level.
Also got Jack Diamond on the bench who was a promising winger @ Sunderland
He's changed position and is now known as Jack Box.
    Refereeeeee!!!!

4.4.2 rolling back the years Nathan Jones, not unhappy with that ..............at the moment !
Likely a box midfield or diamond though, doubt it’s a flat 4-4-2.

Gillesphey in a back four worries me but still prefer it to five at the back I suppose
I am a bit worried Barry might make mincemeat of him and Mitchell, neither of whom are very quick
    Doesn’t Barry play out wide?
  • Only at Charlton can we have a fortnight off and end up with two main players out injured.
    Are we really that unique...🤷‍♂️

Club say that Lloyd Jones has a "short-term leg injury" and Aneke "a minor niggle"#cafc

I am hearing Jones could be out for about 8 weeks with a lower leg stress fracture…….

I think Jones is a big miss today and personally feel T Campbell always has more impact as a sub
    This.

Start Leaburn & sub him after an hour. Then bring on Campbell.

Currently we have 2 strikers who can't start a game and are playing a makeshift striker in their place

    Poor.

Yeah had a load of off the field issues but is definitely a talent, as is Issac Olaofe to replace Barry or Wootton - ex Millwall youth so bound to score now.
  • He’s tinkering again, hope it pays off.
Don't think he's tinkering. Changes are because of injuries, formation remains the same.
  • Down to 9th with Reading winning. Still clubs above us with games in hand

Considering some of the stuff you've got away with in recent weeks (after a prolonged spell of sweet-talking the matchday mods) this comment doesn't even rank level with a dirty look!

Nothing to see here, no VAR required ... play on!

    😀

Win by 3 clear goals & we at least go above Stockport.
  • So, just Terry and "the legend" Brownie on comms today...strap yourself down and prepare for a rough landing...🤦‍♂️
  • I didn't know Chuks did minor niggles. I assume he's out for eight weeks.

We're joint points with Stockport and Reading, win by six clear goals and we'll go above Exeter
  • Zach Mitchell interview on CharltonTV at the moment.

Lose and we could be nearer bottom than top. It is good being positive 😁

  • Nice little interview with Zach, level headed guy and well deserved his contract extension, shame not in the squad today, but will be soon I feel...

Jones a big miss, just praying he's not out eight weeks as someone above intimated.

From the horses mouth I’m afraid Large…………
  • Surprised Zach Mitchell hasn't even made the bench.
    Injured apparently

I think it's a Big blow losing Lloyd Jones.
Hopefully MG doesn't constantly try the long ball with two small men up front.
    COYRs
  • The desperation of the keyboard Mike Bassetts to compare this midfield to the old fashioned 442 they always say we should play is kind of funny.
  • Happy with a 1-0 win, but it would be good to see us score enough so we can "nearly!" relax

Long ball for forwards to run on to - fine.

Long ball on top of midget forward's head when they're battling hairy-arsed 6ft centre-backs - bad.
