As long as he wins us matches I love him, I don't think he comes across arsey, just wears his heart on his sleeve, better than being a bland, boring Appleton type. He has performed nothing short of miracles here; he can claim he can walk on water for all I care.

It’s funny how some fans love him and some don’t. I’m in the former as I find him so entertaining with his bat shit crazy antics on the sideline lol. The bloke kicks every ball during a game as others have said chalk and cheese from that twat Appleton!

I think what he has done is beyond a miracle but as thenewbie says I just can’t warm to him.
He’s just so arsey, still harping back to Bristol Rovers when we were a disgrace and surely he’d expect fans to be disgruntled . He was wank at Stoke and still bitching about them .
He’s been sooooo brilliant for us and I so want to love him unconditionally like the previous gods like SCP and Curbs but I just can’t and it’s really annoying me .
It’s my issue and i‘ll have to deal with it internally but long may he reign over us (while we’re on this upwards trajectory)

He lacks class and grace, but if he keeps us on the up, then we can't always have everything.

I don't think there is anything wrong with not warming to him, he is a 'larger than life' type, and not everyone likes them.

I have personally always liked him, just hated how terrible we looked before the turnaround.

Going back to people saying he should have gone, or were concerned, their fears were right at the time. His track record outside of Luton was bad, and it was looking like he was going to struggle again.

Fortunately, he found a rhythm, and got a tune out of us, and the rest is history. I am just glad it worked out, because for me, he is undoubtedly a better manager than Bowyer & Powell, we were quite fortunate to land him.

I doubt Powell or Bowyer will ever gain a promotion again as a head coach/manager in all honesty. I can see Jones managing well into his old age, as it seems like an obsession to him, which we are reaping the rewards from currently.

No one can ever say he doesn't care.
And with Nathan's friend ( The Big Man upstairs ) on our side, anything is possible.

If he was my boss I'd probably hate him, because I do not respond well to being shouted at, but on the plus side it looks like you always know where you are with him, good or bad. Yeah, I don't love him like I did Chris Powell, but that's an incredibly high bar to get over. Curbs has mellowed in his old age, but back in the day he was definitely a tad prickly if not as outright spiky as Jones is. I said about 18months ago, he's mad as a box of frogs, but he's OUR mad box of frogs, and now it seems to be proving there's method in his madness. Hopefully, if it all goes a bit pearshaped at some point in the season, we can all manage not to drive each other nuts by being too kneejerk in response (both the fans and him) but I fear that may be a bit too much to hope for. Fingers crossed we can just carry on making steady progress for a while.

How can anyone not warm to him at the moment! After all we’ve been through, something like this has been a long time coming and is a breath of fresh air. I despair of some of our fanbase sometimes.

By the way, he also did a great job with us when he was in charge of the U21’s. I’ve held him in high regard ever since.
