  • Bloody hell, someone shove that trumpet where the sun don't shine...ffs
  • Surprised to hear the DOC is so vocal.
  • Murphy taken off for them already, picked up a niggle when Ramsay bruised his pride with that great sliding challenge

Pressing really well. Defence and midfield timing it perfectly when stepping out to pressure Pompey's touch when it gets into the Charlton half.
    Blimey, even Louis is positive.
Nah, Louis's on holiday and someone else has borrowed his login.

    Replaced by Sexy Saydee.
  • He's had a stormer of a Pre-Season, his goals have shown what a useless twat Appleton was, who completely destroyed his confidence
The only part of this comment you actually needed.
  • On this first half showing, I think Portsmouth will be struggling in the Championship...🤔
  • Gas is the new Stockley, looks to be a real asset at defending set pieces

  • HT 1-0, nice finish from TC after an Edwards assist through ball, keeper maybe should have done better, but we are on top in all areas, and deserve half time lead...

If we win this pre-season friendly, we will be promoted and Pompey will be relegated  :)
Many a true word spoken in jest me thinks...
  • A bit more encouraged by Ahadme.

  • Decent first half that. It’s obvious NJ has got them to play with more energy and aggression after the soft showing last week. If we can play like this every week we won’t be an easy team to play against for anyone in this league.

Ramsey looks class and an absolute bargain imo

He as been injured .. first game he started since then
  • Dont think we will score loads, but we are going to be an annoying niggly team this season, that doesn't stop running. Think we will be challenging for top 6 for sure, but not enough goals/quality for top 2
  • Would like to see potts come on for Gillesphey just to see what he offers, as the other 4 across the back will definitely start next Saturday

For that reason I think we’ll see plenty of Kanu and Anderson this season. They’re not the next Lookman and Shelvey but they don’t need to be to make a big impact.

One of our regular posters said Ahadme was a Crock after his 25 odd minutes against Wimbledon so good to hear that he is still fit and moving about 💪🏻
  • Thank god we’ve scored and we’re winning otherwise the Alfie chat would be in full flow
And not even any mention of Scott Fraser ?

    I hope he’s a lot more Yann than Stockley…
I meant for the set pieces, not his overall talent and ability (though Stockley's first season with us was pretty good, his back injury really messed up his effectiveness for us)

This is the first time I've watched us this preseason. Campbell looks a different player.

Am I wrong to be expecting more from Ahadme?
I think he has the potential to look a bit like a spare part for periods of the game if a flick on doesn’t find the man etc. and I’m not convinced he’s going to score many with his feet (with his head is a different story).

I’m reminding myself that he’s been brought in to do a very specific job in a NJ set up and so far I think he’s carrying that out to a good standard. One who’s going to be a “more than the sum of their parts” player rather than a standout in the division.
