Not that I am expecting it in pre-season or against Palace, but I would love us to start getting some clean sheets. Try and build that habit into what we do.
I think pre season is different especially when you make so many changes.
that first 60 mins team looked comfortable defensively. On that basis it’s a half a clean sheet since 9 changes were then made
lol!... Notice that Hylton doesnt show as a trialist (like Bishop and Potts) on the team in that link - However he does on the team sheet that was released during the game.

Well exactly, which is why I mentioned not expecting it especially against a team as strong as Palace.
But just that it would be nice to get into/see evidence of that mentality asap.
Defenders come & defenders go.......but there is no change.
Against a decent opposition I thought it was ok, and would have been nice to get the clean sheet, but we restricted them to one goal, and to be fair it was a well taken effort, shame it had to be JRS, but non the less, it was ok. So, onto AFCW and Portsmouth before the real stuff starts, and we are looking good so far for that...
I didn't watch, just had a few updates and seen some clips. I'm really chuffed with that though. Palace had a really strong squad out, and we were using players who may not make the final cut, and are still learning under Jones.
Palace are a completely different level to us now, but it just shows how much fitness can make a difference. Jones knows what its like to manage a team full of fit hard working players who can beat top side, to the last few managers we have had, they simply haven't.
Really happy to hear, and see some of Ramsays play. Lovely to see Chuks bag one, and happy to hear Karoy and young Tyreece held their own.
Got a real good feeling we will have a decent season, I just can't picture Jones allowing us to be as abysmal as we were last season, and we seem to be getting the right characters in.
Gassan Ahadme and Rarmani Edmonds-Green missed out with minor issues, and the gaffer provided an update on their fitness.
“Just little muscular things – you’re going to pick them up in pre-season. The thing about Gassan is he wants to train all the time. He wants to be in the gym, he wants to train, he wants to run to work, run home from work. That’s one thing we have to control, because he’s just picking up some stiffness and so on. It’s just about education because he’s so keen to do well, wants to train, wants to get better.

I found this hilarious. I imagine Jones and Abbott having to sit him down and scream 'STOP FUCKING RUNNING EVERYWHERE. SIT STILL' into his face until he understands

Brown was raving about Ramsay in the first half, both defensively and with how he carried the ball forward.
Based on how Jones has played previously; Ramsay and Small are going to be two of our most important players this coming season.
Wouldn't be surprising though if Ramsay gets more games as a right sided CB like he played today and in some of the other friendlies. It's been Asiimwe and Watson who have been our RWBs a lot of the time this preseason.

When I went to the Dartford game, Ramsay was a lot taller than I thought when up close, I wasn’t sure about him at centre back before that.
Saw Chuks last night in Petts wood. He was chaining a push bike to the fence outside Morrisons. Had a pair of CAFC shorts on with the number 10 on them.
Glad to see he isn’t injured
Hope he had his ‘Morrisons more card’ with him!
Hope he had his helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, and neck protector.

Schoolboy error Sam but better for you to make them now than in a League match.

Yes, according to Nathan he likes to run to work and run home from work so he hasn't got an injury but he's too tired to play.
I've told Jones a million times ease up on the Hyperbole.
