The important thing is that we are going to learn close to absolutely nothing about our L1 prospects from this, but we are all going to pretend we have learnt a lot
I cant believe how poor Connor Coventry is going to be against this lot. So much for our DOBBO replacement.

I am going to make COVVO happen this season. Just fucking watch
Although I hate how with CharltonTV after all this time, you cant make the video bigger when you're watching on Desktop, you get full screen, or some tiny screen... no other option
Jones must really be thinking about Ramsay as a centre back, I don't think he's played RWB at all this preseason. Not sure how I feel about that
Either that or he really wants to get a look at Assimwe. I think the reality though is he wants either the RCB or LCB to be able to go forward and create an overlap going forward for the LWB/RWB. It's an interesting idea.
I don't hate the idea in theory but Ramsay seems an odd choice. He's not really a Nathan Jones style big lad and I thought we'd likely be putting Alex Mitchell on the right of the three like he was at Lincoln with Gillesphey, a CB who has played a lot at LB being the smaller more forward thinking option. I don't think Gillesphey is capable of being the overlapper like Ramsay would be, he's more of a passer, but either I would think we'd be replacing Gillesphey with some kind of left footed kaiju or playing Lloyd and Mitchell as CBs and having a quick non-Super Mutant in the LCB spot, maybe Edwards. I'd feel nervous with only one lump at the back in a Jones team.
Having said that I guess the flipside is Asiimwe is a more defensive RWB who I still think will probably become a CB in the future so having the overlapper partnered with a defensive player makes more sense than having an overlapper for Small which might leave us exposed.
Notice that this will be the Nigel's first Pre-Season game of the summer, so we SHOULD be in a better position fitness wise than them.
Yes, the PL sides will be behind the EFL ones as their season starts later.
Plus they'll be missing Henderson - Eze - Guehi - Wharton - Andersen at the very least
Just surprised how far behind us they are, is it more than a week between EFL and Premier League starting, as thats what it always previously felt like.
Still a decent side though. Behind us on fitness, but still well ahead on quality.
Has Isted been used in any friendlies since the Dartford game? - Imagine we'll see Mannion second half today, which means he's not been involved in two Pre-Season matches now

the sound is just dreadful

Did Jones bring in REG?
If so, might be using Ramsay as that pacey, bring the ball forward CB while hes out injured.
Strong team though, given the team sheet that Greg has just read out
