Fight for European spots is wide open this season.Only 5 points between 4th and 10th.Top 2 have champions league sorted, and Forest consistency looks good for CL too.But the other places for Champions League and Europa is really hard to call.0

This is surely the most boring Prem season ever? Bottom 3 already as good as relegated. Top miles in front. The race to 4th isn't exactly a thriller is it!5

City way below their usual standards, Arsenal not as good as the past 2 years, Villa not as good as last year, Spurs and Man U have both been absolutely awful, Newcastle and Chelsea both pretty hit and miss.
Brighton are 7th despite only winning 12 of their 29 games.0 -

Leicester have set a somewhat unworthy PL record - seven consecutive home defeats and without scoring a goal.0

The owners will be looking at the revenue they've made from the CL this year and thinking they need more of that for PSR reasons to progress the club.0 - Sponsored links:

You can only sum it up at the end of the season.
Are we having a good, bad season?
If we get promoted either way then it's great season, miss out and it's a crap season.0 -

Although I like Liverpool (historical based on my sister being mad on the Beatles), was pleased to see Newcastle win the League Cup and there is a chance we will get a new modern time FA Cup winner, if Man City form continues, as well as the possibility of Nottingham Forest finishing top 4. Almost a throw back to when i was a kid and everybody had some sort of chance of a trophy (slightly old rose tinted glasses - but it did feel like every one had an opportunity to at least compete).0

If Liverpool (or City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea) had won the EFL Cup yesterday, it would have been a completely non story, with no mass celebrations anywhere.2 -
I hope whoever wins the FA Cup doesn't wear red and blue vertical stripes, other than that I don't care this season.
I think for anyone outside the "big 6" then a foray into Europe and trying to win a domestic cup is about as good as it gets. Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Newcastle, West Ham, Brighton, Everton, Forest are currently/have done so in recent seasons, for everyone else it's pretty much a case of try and survive (Fulham, Brentford, Palace, Wolves, the 3 promoted teams)0 -

Dougie Freedman leaves the Nigel's to go to a PIF owned Saudi second division club1 -
Released by Newcastle aged 11
Stayed on at school to study sports science and had part-time job pushing trollies at Asda
While playing for the Blyth Spartans academy he was scouted by Darlington and joined their YTS
Worked his way up the leagues playing for Darlington, Yeovil, Fulham, Birmingham, Wigan and eventually at the age of 27 for Brighton in the PL
Signed for Newcastle at 29
Scores a Champions League goal in a 4-1 win against PSG at 31
England call-up at 32 and Carabao winner/POTM in beating Liverpool at Wembley
Dan Burn's journey should be pinned on the wall of every academy in the country as a reminder to those that you need to work hard to make it and not to give up hope . It's never too late.11 -

In this very unlucky scenario Palace could finish 11th and get into Europe 🤢
Come on the 🐝s0 -
I think I saw it correctly if Bournemouth got into Europe they couldn't play at Dean Court? Something to do with one of the stands not being permanent?
Would have to play at St Mary's.0 - Sponsored links:

That stand has been up about 3/4 years so sounds fairly permanent.0

That wouldn't actually be too much of a bad theory. Whole thing seems to have come out of the blue and seems a bit odd from Freedman.

I thought the club he is going to, is going to be quite involved in the Saudi world Cup0

They deserve to win don't get me wrong but that's primarily because no-one else has been good enough to give them a real fight rather than them being a real step above quality wise.2 -

City games have become interesting, because they can't sweep the rest of the league aside, and while many expected them to surge to third or even second with their usual post Christmas dominance, it's not happened. They lost to Forest and should have lost to Brighton.2 -

Quite hard to judge honestly, if we see a similar pattern next season too then we can draw more conclusions.0 -
