  • Title race surely done now. 11 points clear with a miles better goal difference.
  • If strikerless powderpuff arsenal are their only threat then yea, its done and dusted.
  • Salah is insane. He’s gonna go 30/20 this season.
He's now on 41 G/A for the PL season. The record is 47 (Shearer and Cole) both set in a 42 game season.

The record for a 38 game season is 44 (Henry and Haaland).

We are witnessing what is likely to be (by some distance) a record breaking season.

Arteta is very angry apparently, who would have thought.
At his own players. But I guess that doesn't feed the narrative.

""I'm really, really annoyed with the things that are in our hands – which is the performance and the result.

"[We were] nowhere near the levels that we have to hit to have the opportunity to win a Premier league. I'm very much responsible for that, so I'm very, very angry.""

    LOL. What "narrative"?

All he said was that Arteta is very angry, which you have confirmed.

    Odd.

Arteta's normal narrative is they are hard done by refs and VAR as you know and I guess that's why you did the ironic post without the 😁

    Me?
  • The race for the top 4 (most likely top 5) this season is incredibly open. Brighton in 9th are only 4 points behind City in 4th.

Any chance we just give them back Chuks (just as a good will gesture).
  • Man U who currently pay almost 50m a year to service the Glazer's debt interest have decided to make over 100 more redundancies and end free lunches for all staff (except the players) in a bid to 'save' money.

  • It's weird how much press attention is given to Man U.
I guess it shows how big a club they are still, despite being shit.

  • Villa having 2 goals chalked off for offside by VAR, I'm beginning to regret watching this game
  • Villa goal disallowed against Palace.

VAR intervening again. What happen to "clear & obvious". When you start having to draw lines then its not "clear & obvious" ffs !
  • Pathetic injury collapse by Pedro Neto, for the tiniest brush against his face.
  • Good job Southampton brought in Ivan Juric as manager. Prior to coming in, they had just 9 points after 18 games. After tonight's defeat to Chelsea they will have 9 points from 27 games.
Ignore that - they had 6 points after 18 games. And will now have 9 so, pro rata, they have achieved the same number of points.

But he does look like Robert De Niro tbf.

Apparently their last manager to win back to back PL games is Hassenhuttl.

They've had 4 others since then (including one familiar one, obviously).
  • I thought the embarrassing records Sheff Utd set last season would be there for years, yet looks like Southampton are going all out to break some of them. Goals conceded is probably safe, but not points and goals scored.

    Sheff Utd (after 38 games)
    16 points
    35 goals scored
    104 goals conceded

    Southampton (after 27 games)
    9 points
    19 goals scored
    65 goals conceded

  • Some important games tonight. Spurs vs Man City will be an interesting one, Spurs always raise themselves for bigger games, and are coming into form anyway, while City have just suffered 2 bad defeats.
  • Spurs vs. Man City - currently otherwise known as the El Classiclol.

Not tonight, they've been awful  :D
  • That tackle in the United game is a hard watch

Going by their team selection, Spurs seem to be putting their focus onto next weeks Europa league game.

Which is understandable given that winning it gives you a Champions league place.

Yep, and the fact they definitely aren't going down, they definitely won't finish in the European places in the league, why not concentrate on trying to win a trophy?

Could England have six spots in the Champions League next season then? - Or does winning the Europa, take away the spot from fifth in the League - If we're the highest Co-efficient that is.

Yes a country can now have a max of 6 teams. it was 5, but it's now changed.

Concentrating on Europe makes sense, though as they've not got a game this weekend, there's still over a week between the City and UEL games.
