If May does go it will be very interesting to see what kind of striker we replace him with. Ahadme feels like a replacement for a Yann type and we tried a few different combos with him over the years. One I liked but was quite rare due to fitness was Yann and Fuller together, sometimes it was one of those two with Rob Hulse. Big physical players but at least one or both could also do some brilliant things with their feet. We had some of our best results on the rare occasions we got Yann and Fuller on the pitch at the same time and it wouldn't surprise me to see Jones go for a similar sort of thing with two monsters who can do a step over here and there. Leaburn would fit into that as well. It would say a lot in terms of Jones' preference if we replaced May with a player absolutely nothing like him.
I'd be happy with either Ruddy or Walton. We do need a new No 1 signed before preseason starts, as we need as much time as possible to get the defence drilled, and it's not ideal to do that with your designated backup keeper (Mannion) or even worse two keepers you want to move on.
To an extent, the attacking part can wait until later in the summer.
This is a really good signing - especially considering Alex is only 22 and has so much potential. Surprised we’ve pulled this off on a permanent deal and Millwall haven’t extended his contract.
Presumably we have someone else fairly close then if we were previously considering him but have moved on - sounds like we have someone in mind at least.
Don't mind this at all. Isn't going to be a long term option but that's why we signed Mannion.
I wouldnt mind him coming in for his experience but still want us to go for Walton at Ipswich
with AMB and Isted likely going we need 2 more GK still anyway
Is Walton a goer anymore? He had his contract option taken up by them, so will get to sit on the bench in the Premier League at worst, and probably a Loan if needed?
Yea but reports Ipswich are going to bring in a GK plus he has worked with Jones before
Reams on the other site reckons we are still keen and pursuing him so hopefully a chance at least
Others i would be keen on Jensen Wildsmith Okonkwo Addai
I love Claus, but must be mid-40s, not sure he is the answer.

‘He’s a good shot stopper but is useless at distribution and can’t play out for toffee. That’s why we’re shipping him. Not great with his feet.’
Unlikely to come cheap but we’re backed by multiple billionaires who still have all that JCH & Aaron Collins money burning a hole in their pocket.
It’ll be good to see how ambitious we are with his replacement.
Direct football incoming
He’d be better off staying as a backup keeper at West Ham.
Far too good for league 1.

the backline. We have had too many inexperienced keepers over the last few years.
“He captained Barnsley to promotion (as League One runners-up in 2018-19). That shows how good he was at the job.”
