    Pleased to say that the old dame has settled in well. Sussed us out from behind the sofa for 36 hours then decided we were ok. Sits and watches the fire and completely ignores the new bed/toys and scratch mat that we bought and prefers the sofa and the rug. Eating and pooing so all’s well.

    You just need to coax the hedgehog out from behind the coal bucket now

    Cheers everyone. Yeah, what a great dog though (they all are ain't they?). Gentle as anything to the point she'd run away from a fly even. Had a bit of a tough start after a couple of rottweilers attacked her litter while they were being exercised at the kennels where she was born. Two of her brothers / sisters were killed and she was really badly injured, meaning we brought her home a couple of weeks early. 

    We probably kept her going a bit longer than.others may have done (incontinent etc), but felt we owed it to her for the unconditional love she showed us throughout her life.

    14 is a great age - our previous Springer Spaniel lived to 15 and a half - loved him so much 

    Run to the bridge Darcy - you get endless treats, hugs, walks and snoring time in dog heaven

    So sorry for your loss @Gribbo, it's hard to lose a loved member of your family,  but you gave her a good life.

    It’s Bowyer’s first day as official Therapy/Reading dog to St George’s school, born November 2019 school announced 14 weeks later school was closed non essential staff and then had a puppy to train to work with children but no access to children. 
    Not to be beaten we used every method possible to achieve the goal including bloody hardwork, qualification came between lockdowns at 11 months and we went into another lockdown only to appear again 18 months later and we entered the building at over 2 years old. 
    Anyone with an adolescent dog will tell you they will push all your buttons as if all that training was forgotten, that’s when you have to up your game or it’s game over. 
    Lots of industrial language and no little help from Millie we got there, today he takes over from a Valli who we retired for health reasons after 8 years.
