And further good news is that the delightful Steve Evans will not be in the visiting manager's box...https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68679765
Despite him being an absolute shit, with his constant harassing of officials I am sure "the big fella" can be worth a point to them at times, so its a good absence.

This has got 0-0 Written all over it.
I hope not, we need some more wins at the valley before the end of the season, whilst NJ has turned things around, we are still only a couple of wins under his regime and encouragement to buy next years season ticket.
The 4th official will be VERY happy to not have Evans shouting in his ear all game 😁
His sidekick Rayner will takeover the Evans role

So Lua Lua and Wickham looks like a bit of a failed enterprise.
I think it would be very odd if Wickham has been abandoned after what was a very good cameo on his debut.
Surely Anderson will be rested after several poor performances. Our midfield is currently looking very meh.
  • Can't wait, we will get to see the best striker in the league in May, up against the best defender in the league, Piergianni. Worth the expenses alone. 0-0 as the unstoppable force meets the immovable object
    Yay, a clean sheet draw!

Was looking fwd to seeing Jones and the Fat Controller go head to head but sadly he is banned to the stand apparently. Stevenage are desperate for the points and it says a lot where they are and where we are with the respective budgets. Think we will upset them, 2-1 to the Addicks.
  • A rare visit to the valley for me. Normally only go to away games local to me in Nottinghamshire. More nervous about today than normal. I think there is more pressure to get results when we are at home. I really hope we can pull a result out of the bag and put in a good performance. What I am expecting though is very different! Looking forward to seeing a few new players today especially Small. COYRs!
  • My 12 year old daughter said last night can I come to Charlton with you tomorrow? Always a nice feeling when she wants to go. Happy days!

Let’s hope the team put in a decent performance for her!

Then he had better hope that Evans doesnt end up sitting in the first row of seats behind the away dug out!

Come to think of it, it would be very funny if he did!
  • It's not the NJ way, but I'd like to see some changes today, we need to start seeing if people like Taylor, Camara and Bakinson are up to scratch for next season, and given how tired we've looked in midfield recently today is a perfect day to change it up. Taylor's barely played due to injuries, and the other 2 are out of contract in the summer, so with just a handful of games left we need to suss them out now
  • my crystal ball foretells another draw, and I agree
  • Surely there should be a number of changes. Anderson should be replaced by Bakinson and Wickham should replace Ladapo.

I'll be buying stream for this one. High scoring game I reckon.

    4-2.
  • I'm calling 3-1. A much improved finishing performance, still all over the shop for passing and positioning.

    Whats she after??
  • Nearly lost my like for the eggs-cellent remark @ForeverAddickted,  but got it back for the 'Steve Evans catering bus'.
  • It would not be a proper Bank Holiday without Charlton fucking up.

    Draw at best.
    1-1

Would not be a proper bank holiday Easter Monday if they did fuck it up:

You must have missed the ruining Eggs-eter comment then... :D

  • Looking at both clubs results this season this game screams out to be a draw but hoping for a win at home to lower the blood pressure.
Embarrassing to look for safety in league 1 but 3 points should allow us more freedom to assess a few more players before the season end.   2-1
Got a sneaky feeling there will be a sending off today with Pie-Man confined to the stand and the refs penchant for yellows and reds. Hope its not us.

is Charlton TV not available for this match ?  I thought it was only 3pm Saturdays that were barred.

    Edit

No worries. No found & bought. No brainer really. decision was should I fork out £26 + £1.50 booking fee, plus £3.50 bus fare. Compared to £10 to sit at home & watch it comfort. Although, to make it more realistic, has anyone got a few mates who can drop round at 3.10 and stand in front of the TV, and again at 3.40.....and again at 4.10.

I presume you're asking because you have no mates of your own?
  • Really should’ve looked at the weather before leaving the house today. No coat was a rookie error
  • Charlton: Isted; Edmonds-Green, Hector, Thomas; T.Watson, Coventry, Dobson (c), May, Small; Kanu, Ladapo

Subs: Maynard-Brewer, Ness, Edun, Bakinson, Campbell, LuaLua, Aneke

  • Apart from Ladapo, this is the team I hoped for
  • Ladapo omg we must have someone better. He’s done nothing since he’s been here. He just doesn’t look a footballer. I don’t think he will be here next season hopefully.
  • I would've liked to have seen Bakinson start. I guess Wickham and Jones are still injured?
Glad Lua Lua is back in squad as well.
