On Friday the players saw the absence of a Match Preview thread, and it destroyed their motivation, so hopefully the presence of one for this game will perk them up.
Stevenage have won 2 in their last 12, failed to score in 6 of them, scoring just 9. They’ve also only conceded 13 goals in that time. I think their play-off hopes will be all but over by the middle of April as Lincoln look to kick on and Oxford’s next two are more favourable as well.
This is a type of match where I think we could really do with a bit more experience and physicality. We saw how much havoc Aneke caused back in September when he came on. We would probably not have drawn the game without his presence. Leaburn was not at it first half and it switched to us forcing the equaliser when Aneke entered the game.
I think Anderson will be rested. He’s been playing regularly for a couple of months and the extra games and travel with Jamaica would have a toll on him.
I’d like to see Wickham and LuaLua in the squad if possible too. Their experience, know-how, and physicality will be beneficial against Stevenage and eventually, their quality will show.
I think Ness will drop out, maybe Campbell too, and potentially Ladapo if Wickham is to return. Be interested to see if Camara makes a return too, will Anderson be on the bench or will he be given the week to get ready for Barnsley on Saturday?
Jones also said he felt Kanu was a bit tired as well during the Exeter game and although that may lend itself to Ladapo in the squad, I would be interested to see a front 3 of Wickham and Aneke with May just behind.
Isted Edmonds-Green - Hector - Gillesphey Watson - Bakinson - Coventry - Dobson - Small Kanu - May
Despite him being an absolute shit, with his constant harassing of officials I am sure "the big fella" can be worth a point to them at times, so its a good absence.
I hope not, we need some more wins at the valley before the end of the season, whilst NJ has turned things around, we are still only a couple of wins under his regime and encouragement to buy next years season ticket.
The 4th official will be VERY happy to not have Evans shouting in his ear all game 😁
Can't wait, we will get to see the best striker in the league in May, up against the best defender in the league, Piergianni. Worth the expenses alone. 0-0 as the unstoppable force meets the immovable object
Was looking fwd to seeing Jones and the Fat Controller go head to head but sadly he is banned to the stand apparently. Stevenage are desperate for the points and it says a lot where they are and where we are with the respective budgets. Think we will upset them, 2-1 to the Addicks.
A rare visit to the valley for me. Normally only go to away games local to me in Nottinghamshire. More nervous about today than normal. I think there is more pressure to get results when we are at home. I really hope we can pull a result out of the bag and put in a good performance. What I am expecting though is very different! Looking forward to seeing a few new players today especially Small. COYRs!

Then he had better hope that Evans doesnt end up sitting in the first row of seats behind the away dug out!
Come to think of it, it would be very funny if he did!
It's not the NJ way, but I'd like to see some changes today, we need to start seeing if people like Taylor, Camara and Bakinson are up to scratch for next season, and given how tired we've looked in midfield recently today is a perfect day to change it up. Taylor's barely played due to injuries, and the other 2 are out of contract in the summer, so with just a handful of games left we need to suss them out now
Looking at both clubs results this season this game screams out to be a draw but hoping for a win at home to lower the blood pressure. Embarrassing to look for safety in league 1 but 3 points should allow us more freedom to assess a few more players before the season end. 2-1 Got a sneaky feeling there will be a sending off today with Pie-Man confined to the stand and the refs penchant for yellows and reds. Hope its not us.
is Charlton TV not available for this match ? I thought it was only 3pm Saturdays that were barred.
Edit
No worries. No found & bought. No brainer really. decision was should I fork out £26 + £1.50 booking fee, plus £3.50 bus fare. Compared to £10 to sit at home & watch it comfort. Although, to make it more realistic, has anyone got a few mates who can drop round at 3.10 and stand in front of the TV, and again at 3.40.....and again at 4.10.

I presume you're asking because you have no mates of your own?
Ladapo omg we must have someone better. He’s done nothing since he’s been here. He just doesn’t look a footballer. I don’t think he will be here next season hopefully.
