Wish May hadn't started to roll over like he'd broken his leg.

He then pops up and struts to the ball.
Shouldn’t have to be that way, but without it you won’t get anything from a lot of refs. And we won’t get out of this division unless we exploit the dark arts a bit more.
Master Pearce needs to give lectures.

Glad we're winning, pitch is atrocious, wind swirling around, awful opposition = crap game.
And second half, "we have the wind"
    Ruby at HT?
  • I hope we don't have to go there next season.
  • Shouting "go on Alfie boy" on a lounger in lanzarote got some looks but f-em!

    Sounds like a shite game!

I tried to find the team Jones won the U21 league with, but to no avail.

Jones long gone by time big Bren was playing.
  • Wiredu playing like his life depends on this game, injuries everywhere and smashing into our players.

I believe he left under a dark cloud.

21 goals in the league now for May, 23 in total I think. Given just how bad we were for how long that's one hell of an achievement, penalties or not.
    He’s that kind of striker.

    0 in 3, then 15 in 15, then 1 in 13, then 5 in 5
    Lol!

Maybe the fact we were totally shite and went 18 games without a win had a teensy weensy impact on those stats, don't you think?
I wasn’t trying to make any point. It obviously ties together that you’re more likely to lose when your striker can’t find the net.
Or when your team is playing shite your striker is less likely to score.
First three games, Alf had 3.3 shots per game => 10 shots, 0 goals.

Next 15 games, Alf had 4.0 shots per game => 60 shots, 15 goals.

The following 13 games, Alf had 3.2 shots per game => 41 shots, 1 goal.

Most recent five games, Alf’s had 3.6 shots per game => 18 shots, 5 goals.

So yes, he’s had less shots overall during his dry spells but he also went on a run of scoring once from 41 shots (2.41% shots equal a goal) after scoring 15 from 60 (25% shots equal a goal).

Both are unsustainable. When you take them in combination it’s 16 goals from 101 shots which is still an excellent conversion rate (15.84%) for a top striker, and much more reasonable.

Thats the point I was trying to make. It’s something that Cheltenham fans said about him too so I’m not just making something up here.
  • Lincoln 4-0 Taylor hat-trick

     We always need 2.
not always, we needed 3 last week

Lincoln make it 4-0. Could make it their third consecutive game for scoring 5 or more. Up until this run they hadn't scored more than 3 in any game this season.

Attempt saved. Bosun Lawal (Fleetwood Town) right footed shot from the right side of the box is saved.

  • Coventry could have been booked for that silly slide that he tried to kick out during.

  • Ryan Broom sweeps wide via a deflection, Fleetwood corner
  • Theyre on top so far this half
