Firstly I like Terry, but I thought the line of questions were a little odd, now I may be being NJ spikey here, is it in the thoughts we may go on a bit of a bad run?, basically our strikers aren’t scoring when’s matty coming back?, to me they felt negative.I could have written down what Nathan would reply to these sorts of questions, and I’d agree with one, I don’t care who scores and he is asking players to do more than goal hang.he’s not going contemplate any negativity and certainly not say it whilst sitting in 6th. Don’t think the tone was set well, just my opinion and happy to be wrong, just some thoughts.
    Terry is not a professional.
I don't think he's paid other than expenses.
Absolutely I’ve met Terry plenty and had good chats with him, I’m not trying to put the boot in.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you were.
It's just that Terry isn't a consumate professional, so what you are saying is quite valid.

I get the impression that Kelman & Bell are long term injuries.

Nathan said of Fullah that at some point it will be a situation when you can't leave him out.

But such injuries come with varying levels of damage. NJ seemed to be hinting that this was at the milder end of the spectrum. Hope so.

Personally I don’t read anything into NJ says about injuries. He wants to be vague, and I respect that.

The players will be back when they will be back.

Exactly, The fact is he doesn’t 100% know when they will be back so no point in saying they will be say 2weeks and it ends up being 6 anyway, could you imagine the meltdown with people saying well you said!!

Thought he seemed incredibly relaxed and measured. Not sure I buy Hernandez being injured but it was right for him not to play on Tuesday anyway

  • Nathan Jones: "I'm really disappointed with the manner of the goals - level of performance I'm relatively happy. We had three or four chances in the first half. With a little better decision-making we would've gone further ahead.

NJ said can't play Bell as LWB due to his hamstring and so had to change shape.

"The bigger risk would be to play him on Tuesday. TC was doing most volume early on - he had big sprint early on and felt it." #cafc

Harvey Knibbs had a tight calf and needed to come off at half-time.

New signing Jerome Roussillon set to play some minutes in midweek for the U21s. #cafc

Very refreshing and honest interview I think. He is bang on we have finished a run of games that have been a nightmare and I personally doubt if the points total would have been any different even with a fully fit squad(maybe the goal difference would be better) but now is the time to move on and forget those games, be confident at the weekend and get 3 points, do that and get our confidence back and the league position could again look very different in a week time

Thank you for this genius comment, me and my missus are trying to move home and we are pulling our hair out with solicitors but this comment cheered us up big time, so funny and probably true!
