  • A classic Crawley Bazball first over

Will England become the first team to score half a million runs in Test cricket, in this innings?

They need 501 more runs to get there...
Is there anything you don’t get from google?!

    😉
  • Duck for Duckett. He'd been the one who was batting cautiously, but nicked Henry
  • Crawley out again . Swinging wildly most of the half hour he was in and then gets bowled . Please let this be his last game .
  • Crawley bowled by Henry after an unconvincing innings where he tried to hit his way back into form.
  • Not a great series so far for zac. Needs to trust himself more.
  • Crawley is now 0-3 facing Henry in this series off 18 balls faced. David Gower said all that needs to be said about that innings.
  • I think that the Kiwis have spent the last four days just doing catching practice. Incredible grab by Mitchell
  • Bethell had been looking pretty good out there, hitting the bad ball and defending the bad ones.

He's basically been opening, Crawley should be worried

  • England finding different ways to get out.

Another excellent catch, this time from Blundell. It's like NZ sent out a totally different fielding side to the last Test even though it's the same XI.
  • 50 partnership between Brook and Pope off 37 balls

    93-4 (19)
  • 50 partnership from Brook and Pope off 37 balls
  • 50* (47) for Brook
  • 124-4 (26) at lunch

    Brook 51* (55)
    Pope 29* (36)

Excellent partnership of 81 so far
  • Definitely easier when not facing Henry.

Southee in particular looks like someone who is being given a fitting final farewell series, but who doesn't really justify his place on merit.
  • 100 for Brook

    Pope on 66

    Partnership of 170
  • My fault.

As soon as I post Pope is out.

    I'm putting my phone down
  • England go from 217-4 to 280 all out
Brook got 123 (115) was run out for the 7th wicket

    NZ are 42-1
Conway out for 11 Atkinson with the wicket

NZ 74-4 and send in the night-watchman O’Rourke

79-5. Mitchell gloves one down leg side off of the bowling of Carse
  • So nearly six down but just wide of leg slip
  • 86-5 at stumps. Still trail by 194.
  • Excellent day considering 4 wickets were down after an hour - and against the team who just white washed India.

They're 82/4 in Australia at tea, presumably there were rain delays.

It's a day night game in Australia, so the final session is just starting.

India all out for 180, Aus 4-0
  • What an innings from Brook.
    Another one. Fellas a machine!

I should think at this rate, Tendulkar is having a little look over his shoulder.
  • Brook has batted 6 times in NZ - 3 hundreds, 2 fifties and a run out without facing for a duck. In total, 623 runs at an average of 103.83 at more than a run-a-ball strike rate of 102.13. His overall average stands at an incredible 61.80 from 37 innings which includes 8 hundreds and 9 fifties.

  • Bumrah bowling superbly, Rana the young quick looks a real find.
  • Not sure if this has been shared yet but a nice piece on the differences between County & Test bowling and why Carse’s performances and numbers are so different between the two
