Asiimwe and McGrandles coming on after a Pompey corner

Hector with his patented mistake there but Edun looks knackered

Do we ever save any pens ?
Phillips saved a few I think. No decent keepers since then.
    Henderson didn’t concede one

Should be all over. Hector completely misses a low cross, Bishop somehow drags wide but corner given so must have been some block.

    Wow... Should be 3-1
    That was harder to miss

Penalty has taken the wind out of us. Now all Pompey.

It becomes clearer by the day why Aneke was rushed back, absolutely no physical presence without him
I don't think he was rushed back was he now. How long was he out ?

To be fair we needed to keep the pressure on Pompey after the goal

But in some ways they're now doing what we should have done for a few minutes, especially after the last AMB save right before the penalty.

e.g. they're playing sensible Football, keeping the ball, frustrating us, rather than going Gung Go for another.

Appleton loved him in his previous job, not surprised he's giving him a chance

10A off for Asiimwe not Edun. Thought he was alright today, think he's looked better his last two games

Their first goal did the same. It’s pretty usual for goals to swing momentum but it always happens with this side, and for longer periods than you’d like.

    Louis off for McGrandles
    T Watson off for Asiimwe

Surprising T Watson was replaced rather than the tiring Edun

He has never beeen match fit since he has been with us

Fraser does not do defending, McGrandles does, if we concede another its all over, you have to keep the ball to have a chance.

WTF... Referee did the right thing in giving us advantage.

But McGrandles is literally rugby tackled to stop him advancing with the ball - Their bloke doesnt even get booked for it!!

Ref has to call that back. No advantage there thanks to Fraser’s through ball to no one.

Once again another homer ref, he is just crap!!!

I suddenly had a flashback to the early '90s and computer gaming, but then realised that that was Sensible Soccer...

And now we're giving away silly fouls and allowing them to manage the game

Feels like we've not strung two passes together for 15 mins

Was he not one of the 11 that Appleton now knew what they were about.

Lwat had run out of gas and lost his position and an in form and fit McGrandles should help keep the ball which we've needed most of this half.

I would’ve brought McGrandles on for Campbell with the earlier sub and give Louie a chance as the 10 for a bit, bringing on Fraser just now.
