Non playing staff have been told that Junes salary payment is uncertain. I’m guessing that means very unlikely. HMRC are owed so unless Chansiri changes his tactics they are bang in trouble. Seems he wants £5 million up front to start negotiations for any sale. They don’t even have any pre season games arranged yet apparently.
I think he wants the upfront payment to 1) show good faith.....and 2) so he can pay the players & staff.
Sad as it is I’ve been looking at Owlstalk and the consensus seems that the money owed in wages and to HMRC might be more than the £5 million he’s asking for and won’t get. There is also a theory that the Sky money has been already used as leverage to get finance. I’m not a fan of Sheffield Wednesday but it’s quite a tragic read.
I'm surprised that Chansiri hasn't sold anyone yet to try and bring some money in.
Don't think they've got that many saleable assets , the younger Cadamarteri brother they sold to Man City for £1.5m might have been the main asset
    Josh Windass?
  • Thing is. When you have an owner like Chansiri it’s very likely that there are a few surprises in store for when DD takes place. Hard to believe he’s run the business squeaky clean in all aspects when the rest of the business has been so badly run. I think their best chance is if Chansiri puts them into voluntary administration before HMRC gets moving. Even a quick sale, if he relents is fraught with problems. Given the clubs finances I find it hard to believe any buyer would stump up £5 million just to talk. Can they survive without money even to starting the season in six weeks ? I also understand that one of the Hillsborough stands is in need of significant repairs and might not get a safety certificate. If non playing staff are not getting paid how will they even organise and run a matchday ?

He’ll be 32 in January, average championship player, can’t see him being worth much.
  • Bit like us under Roland,we got to the point we didn't have any saleable assets left and he eventually sold up

He's probably tried but I doubt many people will be buying when there's every chance any players may end up being available for knock down or even free in the near future.

Think I read that if the players aren't paid Monday they can hand in their notice and leave 15 days after that.

    It should be Wednesday
  • Would like to think the players that are being paid put it all in a "pot" and share equally among everybody.

How did this charlatan get by the Fit and Proper person test. ?

Might not be able to field a starting 11 against Leicester but will still start with 0 points.
