Yes the squad has issues to be addressed but no way with the players available should we have lost five on the spin. I liked Dean as a person but I just don’t think he cuts it as a manager. Saturday was a clusterfuck from the time the team was selected, gawd knows what he was thinking of. I think the right decision has been made. I just hope there is a plan in place to get us out of this mess.
This sums it up for me. All the players that have been brought in recently have been established professionals. Yet we get the kind of defensive mistakes that another team might make once or twice a season being made once or twice a match. Every team we play at this level has the ability to (mostly) pass the ball to each other - we don't. I'm not sure that the alliterative Taylor geezer has made one successful pass in his poncy pink boots. How does that happen? Every other team makes a good percentage of 50/50 headers, tackles, we don't. If we go a goal down we know we have lost the match. Every time we go a goal up we know it's almost certain we will drop points.
How do you cure this malaise? Well I don't know but having a manager that stands around in the laughably named technical area with his hands in his pockets doesn't cut the mustard. We do actually need someone that looks like he's motivated and won't stand for any more of this crap.
Edited to add: And they can cut out the waste of sending the team out to Spain pre-season. They can stay in their own houses and go to work at the training ground. All this team-building stuff is bollocks.
Darren Moore isn’t a rogue. I doubt Bowyer would appreciate being called a rogue either. Robinson might be a bit garrulous, but a rogue? Anyway, we’re after a new manager, not a new ethics adviser. 👍

So Methven has the same control Sandgaard had and is running the show with everyone else involved his puppets. It's all on him alone is what you're saying.
Really disappointed that Dean Holden and company have been sacked. Looks like we are back at square one with owners etc. Will still use my season ticket but not sure it will do any good and worry about encouraging owners/management that I and others can be taken for granted. Fortunate to meet Dean Holden and my impression was that he was a massive improvement on the last 3 managers we have had. I sincerely hope he gets another job if he wants one and does well.

Most managers do t get a say in the players anyway.
I was out with a womble last week amd he told me that signing players has been taken away from Jackson. He tells their DoF what position he wants, what type of player and it's done for him. He can concentrate on coaching. It's the modern way with most clubs following this approach

If there is an actual recruitment process for hiring a new manager rather then one of their mates, then with the transfer window about to end it has to be a manager who has a plan of how to use this squad as is.
The season really is over if the new manager comes in and decides some of our stronger players don't fit their system or style of play.

Agree 5 games is very early to sack him. However, it’s a bold decision and shows that the owners are not happy with failure. Yes, Holden has a limited squad, but are they really as bad as these results. I think most of us think not…….
We've been unlucky with some poor refereeing but the defending has been bizarre and the team selection on Saturday was from Alice in Wonderland. If we get in Darren Moore or someone similar I'll give the owners the benefit of the doubt this once.

Yep, getting shot of Dean only makes sense if you are bringing someone better in, if we go for a completely inexperienced coach / manager, then start to worry, and the chickens coming home to roost, will finally catch up with us.
