AMB: 7 - few decent saves JONES:7 - looks an upgrade on Inniss, very comfortable on the ball and dominant in the air
NESS: 7 defended very well, seen a few having a go at his long balls but he has clearly been asked to do that and the wet surface made them have too much pace on.
THOMAS: 7 fee shaky moments but his crisp passing is a real asset when playing from the back DOBSON: 9 absolute rolls Royce of a CDM performance
ASIIMWE: 7 Very solid debut
ANDERSON: 7 very tidy, needs to improve on the short first time passing but he’s gonna be a proper player if that’s his first every mens game.
FRASER: 6 Not his best game but fair play for staying on with a what looked like a pulled calf muscle, could have easily come off and left us with 10 for the last 15 mins. DH needs to be careful not to use up the 3 sub stoppages especially with the new added time rules.
CBT: 8.5 Monster of a performance going forward
MAY: 7.5. That first half chance goes in 9/10 times, very good save from their keeper. With Leaburn next to him he is going to be class. Works as hard as any striker I’ve seen in red.
CAMPBEL: 6. A few nice glimpses but struggled to adapt to the new role and gave the ball away in dangerous areas a few times, plenty of scope to learn that role though as he has all the attributes, will probably be the May back up as opposed to his partner once the recruitment is finished and Miles is back.
special mention to Camara and Edun when they came on, two really good cameos.
AMB: 7 some good saves. Dodgy distribution from time to time JONES: 7 thought he was solid. Better to come NESS: 6.5 solid defensively. Long passes were way off. Didn’t look too comfortable in making them THOMAS: 7 best defender today DOBSON: 8.5 MOM scored the winner and less like a captain. Some good tackles ASIIMWE: 7 didn’t really notice him first half, mainly because the ball was down the left most of the time. Looked comfortable on the ball though ANDERSON: 7 started really well, faded at the end of the first half and then second half ran his socks off. Decent tackles. Sometimes took too long on the ball but that’ll get better with game time FRASER: 7 looked shattered second half… but then again he usually does CBT: 7.5. Had their right back and CB on toast first half. Didn’t exploit that in the 2nd half MAY: 7.5 doesn’t stop running. Will be great with a big man next to him. He’ll eat up those flick ons CAMPBELL: 7 looks more comfortable on the ball compared to last season
