    I used to watch Bath City a lot in the 90s when I first moved to Swindon. Fantastic old-fashioned ground. Back then their fans saw Yeovil as the local rivals, despite hardly ever playing them. Do they still do that, or have Chippenham fully taken over as the object of ire/ridicule?
    Yeovil still the rivals, a little bit Taunton Town, the Chippenham rivalry now called the A4 Derby is a bit of a new creation.

    Yes, they always move clubs from one division to the other rather than relegating extra clubs in one of the divisions. A few years ago Bishops Stortford had a stint in the Northern division because there was no-one else who could realistically move.

    I do wonder if Bishop's Stortford will go into the NLN next season too , would depend on who else comes up from the Isthmian.

    Is the northern league still at a higher standard? If I owned a southern club looking to push for the play offs that would realistically be mid table in the northern league, I would tell the league to do one

    i remember when it was only 1 up 1 down to the conference it was always dag & redbridge and yeovil swapping places every season. Sad to see them go to the conference south, but always saw them as a little club punching well above their weight.

    Check the history books, Yeovils level is non league.

    Scunthorpe United spent the first 60 years on their existence playing non league football. They were punching way above their weight in the second and third tiers.

    Yeovil will be a huge draw for almost every team in national league south. Would be looking for them to take big followings for every game. Even Torquay coming back down will be good for the gate receipts. 

    Excluding Southend then aren’t many established southern football league clubs in non-league.

    From past seasons when clubs have been switched, the FA seem to extend the North division further south on the west side of the country than on the east. They more or less seem to do the traditional thing of drawing a line from the Severn to the Wash through Watford Gap, then shifting that north or south as required. The chatter among non-league obsessives is that they think Oxford City will be first in line if it's needed.
