Going for 2 runs there off the third ball of the over ... personal milestones , no thanks
it's all about winning The Ashes .....

still result we're bowling to them now , the game needed to move on , we're against time and the weather

does it qualify for extra half hour tonight because of the rain delay at lunch?

What are realistic expectations for the rest of the day, 4 down? Obviously I would like all 10 but what is realistic?

Let him have the single off the first ball of the over, clever.

I'd be happy with 4. Think that gives us a good chance to win over next 2 days

Not much encouragement so far with the ball. Wood's extra pace could be what we need

    On BBC

Close is now at 18:13 BST. We can play for another half an hour to allow overs to be bowled so realistically stumps are at 18:43

said to myself last night we'll declare at 3 o'clock .. could be earlier ?
all right bowled out near 3 o'clock .. superb all round batting from England .. I can't recall ever seeing an Aussie side looking so flummoxed and all at sea  ..  Cummins' captaincy is not all that i m o .. any chance that Sandpaper Schmidt could get a skipper recall ? .. also, can't recall a test/series in which  so many pace bowlers are into their30s
so far this series bears no resemblance to the tests I used to go to as a kid/younger man .. the Windies used to be so good that they were exciting to watch, but usually in very one sided games

Strange review - surely he knows he hit it? But why doesn't Wood take the new ball instead of letting them get a start??

broad and anderson can swing it more. Plus wood is an "enforcer" type, who can shake things up when things aren't happening.

Didn't see any swing from Anderson. Offered no threat once again. Who would you rather face first up - Anderson bowling gentle 80mph stuff that doesn't do much or Wood steaming in at 93mph??
