She hasn't got a game at the moment. I'm surprised the selectors have stuck with her.

Valliant effort from us and Nat Sciver-Brunt in particular but Australia scrape home by 3 runs

A supercut of Amy Jones' dismissals in this series would be the most appalling cricket video nasty imaginable. Truly brainless player

Hmm. It’s a team sport. More likely to point/wave a finger at Heather/Sophie who didn’t talk to Lauren Bell for the last over of their innings to coach her to not giving away 26.

Bowling pace at the end of the innings is asking for it in women's cricket

You can point to a lot of individual factors when you lose by 3 runs. Jones playing that shot was a factor, Some poor fielding, Not reviewing Ecclestone's dismisal......... Also you could see Sciver-Brunt was knackered at the end and that made it even harder for her. She needed a bit more help. But it is true, if Wareham had only scored 23! in that last over, England would have won. You do have to question the bowling.

That last over will have cost them the match and the series.
Didn’t think it would come down to just the three runs… but that over was definitely the deciding factor

Do you think Morgan and Williams coached their bowlers through the super over in the men's world cup final?

They are professional athletes who are playing for their country.  It's down to execution.

It isn't unusual in these situations for the captain and maybe a senior player to have a conflab with the bowler on how to best stem the runs.

I saw an interview where Morgan said he regretted not slowing the game down and talking to Stokes in the final against the West Indies where he went for 30 and we lost the match

Forecast not great for Old Trafford next weekend , it’s the lowest I’ve seen the draw before a test match this series by some way, currently 7 to 2 on betfair

It never rains in Southern California - which is great news for the Southern California Cricket Association (yes there is actually one!)

See above - it has been confirmed that he will be. He averages 13.14 from 7 innings batting there.

Ah but Root is "only" 39.67 at 3 but 52.24 at 4. There again, he's 68.34 at 5!

Don't understand why we announce the team so early. It always used to be revealed after the coin toss
