Jenni Hermoso is gay but that has no bearing on this case; as a women can be straight, gay, bisexual or asexual and what Luis Rubiales, the ex President of the Spanish Federation did by grabbing her head and kissing her on the lips was wrong and deemed a crime.
What should've been the highlight of Hermosa's career and her teammates after winning the trophy will for ever be tainted by the crutch grabbing* Rubiales who instead of saying straight away he was over zealous by kissing her on the lips and apologising, he said she consented; when did the consent take place before the match !
There is a back story as Spanish female footballers had been at odds with the male dominated Spanish Federation for at least 4 years over various issues and this 'Kiss' was the final straw for Jenni and her colleagues.
*Rubiales, whether through drink, drugs or a giant ego was in a highly demonstrative state during the game and he let his exuberance get the better of him but then compounded his actions by blaming Jenni Hermoso.
He grabs her round the head and guns her no choice, how she reacted is irrelevant, she could have been in shock
He does grab her head, you're right, but she has two arms free. If the kiss is so abhorrent to her then why didn’t she use them to at least lift his hands off of her.
I don’t buy the ’she was in shock’ theory either. She walks calmly away and even gives him a ’goodbye pat.’
There’s something behind their relationship and what happened afterwards, maybe with her boyfriend imo.
In itself, your comment, is insensitive...
"Maybe with her boyfriend"? Why do you think she has a boyfriend? Maybe she is in a happy relationship, with another woman?
If another bloke came up and gave you a great big smacker on the lips, would you be happy?
And I've got kids. And we spent a lot of time teaching them that "violence is never the answer".
And I don't think that women (I have 3 daughters) first reaction is to lay someone else out, if they do something they don't approve of.
I missed that part of the insanity! Since she's a lesbian anyway, I don't suppose it's anything to do with her boyfriend, no 🤣
As I’m in the minority and don’t go along with the view in fashion then I must be wrong. So what? Have it your way. Let’s all get mighty precious and take people to court and waste everyone's time because of a kiss. What is the world coming to?
Meanwhile the mother of a girl who was stabbed by two other kids in Warrington speaks of forgiveness. Today's news boggles me quite frankly.
No, you're wrong because you're saying incorrect things. You're trying to use dictionary definitions of words to wave away acts that fall within the threshold of a crime because you don't understand the law and you're minimising the events because you don't understand the impact it had on the individual. One of the very annoying things about the internet age is it has created a mentality in some that they're being ganged up on and cancelled by the woke mafia because everyone is disagreeing with them. Couldn't possibly be that you said something daft and that's why everyone disagrees with you could it?
