Mate of mine who’s a Nigel ( I know , I know ) reckons TC is on Palaces Radar, would fit when jones said teams a lot further up the pyramid were showing interest if true .
I like TC but would be very surprised at that. They do like a winger, but have a few already and JRS hasn't even got a kick there since being with us, and I would have him ahead of TC. Maybe if TC hit a sweeter shot/scored more.
I do feel if we are not promoted that TC, Leaburn, Small and Ramsey could all be gone by next season though which would be a tough rebuild again. Let's hope we go up and keep them all. After a successful season in the a championship and with reasonable length contracts they could be some serious money.
That’s all we need , another rebuild, we’re going up anyway so nothing to worry about…. Maybe
Berry has the same number of big chances created as Coventry, who plays at the base... That is appalling.
Gilbert's only one behind him, and he's played for barely any minutes.
He is our third highest scorer though.
Almost see Berry as the type of Forward Midfielder that I'd expect to see arriving late in the box, rather than the creative force from that forward role; Aribo for example only got five assists in 2018/19 in a very similar role but scored nine times.
Berry as a creative player needs to do more with his set pieces / corners, but also shares that responsibility with Gillesphey and Edwards... Its probably why Gilbert didnt come on last night either, as he's not got the defensive side that others have, and primarily is our set piece weapon.
Berry is generally too slow to get in the box when TC and Small get behind the defenders. His set pieces are pretty crap as well.
Berry has been getting into the box from both Small and TC but in many matches lately he is missing with poor connection on the ball.
Good to hear. When you are double marked during the match it's hardly surprising that he was out on his feet at the end of the last couple of games with cramp and being knackered despite the squad being at an optimum fitness level. Tyreece is young and he can go again.
A friend told me he’d read somewhere that TC is on 18,000 a week. Seems rather improbable.Anybody know if this is the case or not?
He signed a new deal after last season ended and wasn’t a regular at that point. No chance we’re paying him close to £1m a year. We won’t be paying anyone in the squad that sort money.
With the work he puts in on and off the pitch and the faith Jones has in him it should click for him sooner than later in front of goal. While he’s not someone who scores poachers goals, he should be able to comfortably score double figures at this level and step up to the Championship in time. It would be great to see more goals from him in this final run of games.
He tends to score well taken goals rather than scrappy tap ins, I don’t think the issue is his technical ability, he can strike a ball well with either foot. It’s the other things that have been the problem - keeping composed, getting into more shooting positions and being greedier when he does to have more shots.
The big chances created and chances created stats show he’s been unfortunate with assists. He’s 11th in the league for big chances created with 11, with the player in 1st on 15, but officially has 1 assist with the players around him generally on 3 to 8 assists. He’s also 20th for chances created, and I imagine some above him regularly take set pieces, as well as playing in more possession focused and attacking sides.
Jones really praised TC in his post match interview.
We’re seeing the benefit of sticking with an academy player who isn’t at that Shelvey/Gomez/Lookman level at 17/18. Another manager could have so easily written him off and released him. Hopefully there’s more to come from both TC and others who will break through in the near future.

Today is a great example of that. He was heavily involved in the fourth goal and if it had gone down as Doc's goal it would also have been TC's assist. He did brilliantly; drove the ball down the wing, cut it inside to Doc whose pass was cut out, picked up the loose ball and played to Doc again who fired it in off the bar. None of that happens without TC but it won't get recorded in that stats for him
I am kind of stuck with player of the year now. Was going with Jones. However, TC has worked his ass and socks off for the team. Holding up the ball for other players, doing the hard running, handling a lot of shirt pulling and grappling that oppo players do to him, yet never complains. I felt that if he could add goals to the hard work, he will be a very good player a this level. Yet, we forget how young he is and still learning. A huge credit to Jones and the current coaches. For the first time today I saw a player hungry to add goals to his tally. He is a completely different player to the one under Appleton, Holden etc. Him (and the one that went to Wallsall on loan) looked like headless chickens when they first come in. TC knows the plan and works to it, the shots he is producing from range is quality. Seeing Aneke trying to curl one in too, shows there is a lot of good coaching at the club now.
He's going to have a lot of people looking at him in the summer. Already got a lot of games under his belt at such a young age, and people know our Academy makes stars. I'd obviously rather he stayed - reality is that he's torn a lot of L1 defences to bits, despite the criticism some have levelled at him regrading his output. Many other teams' fans will highlight him as our best this term.
Even if we go up, I think we'll probably struggle to keep hold of him. More and more scouts will be aware and know that a modest bid by todays standards will probably be enough. Can only hope that we don't get our pants pulled down over value. Maybe the comfort of being here and support of NJ is enough - however, I think a bigger club will be enough to turn his head, particularly if it's a London-ish one.
He's still relatively raw at times, but taking goals today in the way that he did is the missing piece. Could easily see him as part of a front 3 and being even more prolific higher up the leagues.

I don’t think we know what sort of value we’ll get for our better players under this ownership yet. I know we sold May in the summer, but Jones was happy for him to go and he was 30/31, he was never going to be sold for millions.
I might be wrong but I get the feeling we’ll want a fair bit more for good young players than the £1-2m we got for players like Burstow, Grant, Konsa, Pope etc.
At one point in the second half today Huddersfield had FOUR players defending against him and the only way they could stop him was to foul him. Very proud to be his home shirt sponsor. Even the bloke behind me finally agrees I was right on his potential. ❤️ Tupac.
I've been impressed with the new weightier Campbell for quite a while. Adding strength to his speed has made him a far better player this season. If he's adding goal scoring to his repertoire he'll be a world beater. Good luck Tyreece, I'll enjoy watching you while I can, but I fear that might not be for long.

"He is under contract until 2026; so what is the next step in his career? “To play for Charlton in the Championship. I think I would do well.”"

Probably our most valuable player now.

Now he's added that ,I'd argue there's not a better player in this league in his role.
