Just read NJ's piece in News on Line, his handling and playing some of these players is beyondme. Tyreece should have been rested full stop, their was no need to bring him on against Chelsea. He could have quite easily put on Dixon!
I think NJ really lacks insight, getting sick and tired when managers don't know how to manage their players, should have given him an extra days rest.
The minutes he is giving KD is ridiculous and again Southend would have been a good game for him to be involved!
On the other hand NJ sees Dixon in training every day, we don’t, we don’t know how good or bad he is, NJ does and I’m happy to thrust his judgement. Whether Campbell should have come on v Chelsea is another matter.
BTW, would love to see footage of the Ravan challenge.
If you have Charlton TV you can play back the game?
It was every bit as bad as NJ says. Worse than Clare on Edwards, because there wasnt the slightest intention to get the ball.
I hope the Wrexham player is ashamed of that tackle on Tyreece. Was disgusting and I think it should have been a red card, even though I'm sure the ref would use the excuse of it not being last man etc.

Im really not sure he is tiny and that was one VERY VERY physical game i think it was too soon to throw him in when it was a proper battle tbf
I don't think it was a red card according to the laws of the game but it should be. It is different to a pull back foul in that the opponent was in full flow and the foul carried a real risk of injury.

I would think it fits into one of these three brackets: serious foul play/violent conduct/excessive force
By the laws of the game, it is 100% a red card and NJ is right. The law states that serious foul play (which is a sending off offence) is “a tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.
Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.”
The fact that he wiped out TC from behind, deliberately, with no attempt of playing the ball, means he clearly endangered the safety of TC. The referee got it wrong, he should’ve been sent off. It was an awful challenge and I wish there was retrospective action that could be taken, but unfortunately there’s not.
Deliberately kicking a player when you've got no chance of getting the ball, how can that not be a red? ABH ain't legal.
The guy behind me at the game was of the opinion that he could be sent off. I can remember his exact wording why but from memory, he wasn’t in control of the tackle
Sean Clare put Josh Edwards out for 3 months when Orient played here earlier this season. Now the dirty Wrexham bastard S Revan has probably done the same to Tyreece. Lets hope we have someone to extract revenge on them at the away matches!

Every team used to have a hatchet man. I can't think of one now, but if refs continue to be lenient on this sort of tackle I'm sure they'll make a comeback.

We played orient less than three months ago and Edwards has been back for sometime.
is there any noise from the club saying Campbell is out for 3 months?

Edward’s was injured on 17/8 and back 21/9. So barely a month, nevermind 3.
You could argue Wrexham’s punishment for that horrible tackle was worse than a red card since the ensuing melee from the free kick was what led to the penalty.
Nonetheless it does seem baffling that there isn’t an option for retrospective bans for such tackles.

Hope Tyreece is back soon.
