Gues What! those teams with bigger budgets than us are above us in the league, just like last season. that is a good way to know who has a bigger budget.
We’re 14th, I’d guarantee that some of the 13 teams above us have smaller budgets too!
  • Sandgaard has totally underestimated what it takes to get promoted.
I have zero sympathy for the egotistical prick as he refused to sign a CEO or listen to anyone prepared to give advice.
I now think he's looking to sell and the sooner the better.
    Bang on

There may be truth in this, I’ve been watching the last few games without a VPN.

Interesting that I had to use a VPN today, first time in a while.

Top 4 budget apparently.  Yet we signed 3 free transfers from Swindon, 1 from Rochdale, 1 from Lincoln, 2 loans and one of out of contract last playing for Crewe?  If that’s a top 4 budget then I’ve grossly over estimated the money swimming around in football
And a budget that is bigger than last season despite offloading Gunter, Watson etc etc. We must be paying these league two signings Championship wages.

  • Latest on Twitter: “Fraudgaard”. Wonder if it’ll replace “Skintgaard”.
  • One key thing to remember is, the world is now in a depression and the loaded oligarchs and the likes are feeling the squeeze. The only ones still in the black are likely to be the kind of owner we don't want (on moral grounds), thus we are reliant on an honest businessman made good, giving it a go.

Has Thomas bitten off more than he can chew? It certainly looks like it, but our slump began before him and there is no guarantee that a new broom would bring prompt success. Better the devil you know, as they say, perhaps Thomas isn't the devil, more just misguided, misinformed and lacking the physical and financial resources to compete with the bigger And smaller, better run and funded clubs.

The main thing that worries me most, is that should TS want to get out now, there's a good chance he'll want he's money back and, going by the rumoured £8m a year losses, that's gonna be approx £16m.

That would mean that the Club AND the assets will each be owned by a stubborn ****, who wont budge an inch on their respective ridiculous price tags.

Sandgaard will continue to lose money though.
Exactly, he's asking price will only ever go one way ⬆️
  • If his asking price goes up by around 8m a year it will soon be like Duchatelet's mad valuation of The Valley. And he will lose another 8m standing still while no one buys the club

His asking price...sorry a personal gripe...
No need to apologise. It's mine too
  • Say he wants £5m for the club. If he sold in a years time, he would have lost it and some. Best surely to let it go for £1 now. If somebody is willing to take us on.

This is TS the extreme optimist though. Probably thinking we're only 3 points off the playoffs and might get a bidding war for Leaburn in January.
  • Of course there's something we can do. A Delia Smith style shaart aaart rant message to any prospective new owners out there would be a start. "We need a new owner here. Where are you? Where are you? Let's be havin' you. Come on!"

    £8m losses a year over 2 years is £16m.

Lots of chat and thoughts about TS and his plans or not to sell, also about his supposed lack of cash or expertise in running our great club, I keep recalling talk from one of the original snakes trying to run us into the ground, maybe Fartsmell or possibly it was Elliot, but they kept saying that "Thomas has no money" or words to that effect, and all will become clear... well I certainly scoffed as I would think the rest of us did....well, here we are now...
Don't know the inner thinking of Thomas or the gang, but we either need some change at the top, or a quick change of direction to where we are heading and it ain't up at the moment..

Who would want to own a football club?

There's only two basic types these days at the higher level - crooks and ego maniacs. (The third option of "local lads/fans made good" has largely disappeared from the higher levels of the game. You need to be a multi-billionaire - or a sovereign state - to play with the big boys.)

If you did a Venn diagram I’d still expect the ‘local lads done good’ to overlap into at least one of the other two options!
So, local crook done good it is then. Perhaps we should scan the Belmarsh release lists for potential owners. Or failing that do a trawl of the local estate agents.  ;)

Not forgetting that he’d have to write off the 12m in loans of course plus there’s still the other 7m owed to the former directors.
