  • Just a reminder that it's pre-season for everyone: players, refs, commentators, SDAddicks who were supposed to get up at 6am to take the dog for a walk before kick off but who slept through their alarm. Twice.
  • FFS... Instead of giving away a throw in we've given a bloody corner
  • 1-0 ... OG but all down to Morgan
We don’t need another striker own goals gonna be our new secret weapon?

Swansea showing some classy build up but being matched so far, Stockley seems to be slower than usual into tackles, probably being on a yellow don't help!!
  • Early days but macgrandles looks very tidy
  • Stockley seems a bit of a spectator at times
  • Just seen the first of Leaburn who did well to hassle Darling

A lot is going through CBT, but had forgotten that Miles was playing until that moment
  • Eeeh awwwwe eeeh awwwwe🐴
  • Stockley really is a footballing donkey

  • Clever play from Leaburn with a lovely turn and run, but Stockley unable to reach the resulting cross
  • Don’t worry lads we’ve got Aneke who can cover if Stockley gets suspended for 15 mins of the 3 games

  • Another bit of good play from Leaburn to collect a long ball from Wollacott.

Uses it to turn Norton (their FB), and go on a run, but his low ball to Stockley in the box results in a heavy touch.
  • Another good long ball from Morgan, CBT tries to score on the volley, but the shot goes over

Seen the starting eleven and the bench for today.
It leaves me worried if that is the likely starting line up for the season. The bench relying on far to many youth players.
You do remember 11 players played yesterday?
    Main ones being

    Macca
    dobson
    aneke
    gilbey
    Kirk
    DJ
    lavelle

I do rambert that. But you would expect that the Swansea game would see the team that is expect to start the season play.
Playing Wellingbehid closed doors would seem to be saying you will not be first choice for the season.
It might be what you would expect - but that's not what Garner himself said a couple of days ago.
He said he'd more or less decided on around half a dozen names to start at Accrington, and the other places were still up for grabs.

Then he concluded by saying that no player could be certain of starting and that it depended on who impressed during the friendlies.

Yeah, it's my concern with Stockley. When he plays up front on his own he can become isolated because he's not the most mobile and his touch isn't automatic.

That said, we're not going to play many if any, teams with Swansea's technical quality in the league. So it's unlikely that we'll have to sit deep and defend for such long stretches as we do today.

Only halfway through the first half but we look really composed. Even if a pass goes astray, there’s a calmness about us in dealing with it.

  • Does Morgan look comfortable in this setup?

Swansea showing us the Garner way of playing, but we are in there and matching them..sometimes.. B)
  • Best chance from Swansea who break, their player (Grimes) shoots on the edge of the box, deflection sends it just wide for a corner
  • Stockley really is a footballing donkey
It might just be me, but I genuinely can not warm to him.
  • We look well organised (so far)
  • Playing well
  • Another bit of good play from Leaburn to collect a long ball from Wollacott.

Uses it to turn Norton (their FB), and go on a run, but his low ball to Stockley in the box results in a heavy touch.
Heavy touch is putting it mildly, if he done it in the other box we'd call it a thumping clearance

Too busy trying to figure out how he was going to beat the defender breathing down his neck, he took his eye off controlling the pass.
