I think we're seeing why Leaburn went to Spain ahead of Kanu.... Kanu may have been more prolific, but Leaburn looks (literally) ready for the man's game
Leaburn looks a better bet than Davison that's for sure.
Positives - Charlie Kirk looks like the person we were getting from Crewe - Be interested to hear this time if Garner-Ball is being introduced, as it looks better a week later - Scott Fraser looks like he could be a big player this season - The kids have done alright, can they do it against League opposition - The second half team came on looking to prove themselves, after the benchmark set by the first team - Good to see Inniss being a nuisance with his set pieces again, didnt see that last year.
Negatives - Still a lot of work to be done on the training pitch, understandably - We got the inconsistent version of Albie Morgan today after a good game last week - It is only Dartford, no offence, but they're probably the easiest team we'll face all season - Egbo could have a slight knock, but still doesnt look a Left-Back - The bastards stopped Leaburn getting a hat-trick.
Next three games against Colchester | Sutton | Swansea are going to be proper workouts
Of course its all about fitness first, performances second... But there is no reason to get carried away yet, regardless of whether we beat Dartford 2-1 (last season) or 5-1, the one difference is the fact we have looked more assured this year - Could probably do with depth in a few more areas yet, and still fully expect the other four loan slots to be completed.
Yeah thats why its a negative for me... I dont like him playing as an emergency Left-Back - He did a lot better today compared with the Killie game, but its the biggest piece of the starting eleven puzzle that is missing so far.
Hopefully that forces our hand and makes us go and find another Left-Back - Having Sessegnon and Clare as other Right-Back options is good enough, but Sessegnon and Clayden at present on the Left doesnt feel strong enough

What happened to the Sutton game ?
And where the fuck did I get Gillingham from - Thanks I'll amend
I’d be shocked and very disappointed if Egbo’s injury is serious. The fact he played on until half time and then ends up in a brace to watch the second half is a weird situation all around.

Highly doubtful they are actually considering these being the final options at left-back. I'm sure they're bringing in another one.

It wouldn't be a proper pre-season without someone picking up a major injury that would keep them out of the side for months.

The same questions year after year with Morgan, I just really think he needs a change of scenery by now. It's just never going to happen here.
miles better
miles is better than his dad!!!!!🤣
only joking Carlo!!,
lovely ring to it though Leaburn scores for Charlton!!
