    What a winner that was from Parrott, I know Ireland aren't technically a home nation

    But that'll see Northern Ireland, Ireland, Wales and Scotland all at least into the Play-Offs, would actually quite enjoy having all five of us at a Major Tournament, although would be very unlikely still - Delighted for Coventry, and with the Play-Offs not until March, will want to play his heart out to be involved

    It’s nice to see a player who genuinely feels the emotion, but ffs, give him 10 minutes to gather himself!

    Don’t get how you can win your group and still not qualify automatically. Bonkers. If winning other groups gets you qualification then why not others. Penalised for only being in a four team group?

    Watched on RTE. Incredible from Ireland, fair do. Beating Portugal and then Hungary (A) to make the playoffs means they really earned it. Hope they make it! All those Irish Americans would turn out in force to support again, too

    Fair play to Parrott, 5 goals in his first 31 caps and now 5 goals in 4 days. Could see what it meant to him in that interview.

    Job not done yet though, there's going to be some pretty decent teams in the play offs.
